This did not go the way I thought it was going to go. The ending surprised me!! I thought the story was interesting, but I did feel like it didn't quite go as far as I wanted it to or something. I don't know, I felt like something was missing.

Julissa (julissareviews) | 3 comments Im reading it right now, im not even half way though, but it isnt really something I expected - I hope it ends good

message 4: by Dana (new) - added it

Dana Marie | 16 comments The plot was slower than I wanted. I thought the book was so beautifully written. But it still lacked something for me... can't put my finger on it. It showed the iterations of their many lives. I think i could've gotten it with just the present portion of the plot. idk...

I just finished, and couldn't agree more. It kinda lacked A LOT for me. There were a lot of time jumps that didnt really seem to add to anything, and the I didnt really ship them because of that. There's not really any depth to the book as I would have thought there would be.

Alyssa (lyssiepop1) | 35 comments I agree with others — I feel like the ending made SUCH a hard left that it didn’t make much sense. I felt myself struggling to understand and not in a “wow how did they pull that plot twist off!” way but in a way that makes me feel they didn’t read over the rest of the book after deciding on the twist. I read a book similar to this as a child and felt myself yearning for something more with this one. I love a good reincarnation plot line but this just didn’t do it for me.

Sara Jesus (scjesus) | 66 comments I finished yeasterday. I did love the times jumps, to observe their conection around the centuries. I really like the passion of Arden for the poetry. Did suprise me a little the real reason why they force to kill each other. But I though I miss something in the end. For start I do not like much a open ending, and some parts like *Spoiler their journey of the underworld could be more explore. But in generally I really like it, I thought that was written beauthiful and their love story convinced me.
