The Mark of Athena discussion

so back in ttc/tc (titan's curse) aphrodite tells percy she will make things hard for him in the love department because she likes him; and vice versa for annabeth (it was confirmed in this book). so does this mean aphrodite planned everything? do you think she's the reason percy was chosen to go missing and not annabeth (using charmspeak or a potion or whatnot)? do you think she's the reason percabeth ended up in tartarus????? idk man
