alexis🍓 | 12 comments hey guys i’m new to this group! i have been trying to get in to fantasy but i haven’t had luck yet. are there any books you guys think are fantasy must reads ?

Bethan (Kai Azer's Version) | 93 comments I'm a very stereotypical booktok person so you will either love these or hate them but I think especially for getting into fantasy these are great (some are ya and others are na but idk what sort of thing you prefer) Powerless by Lauren Roberts
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
Once Upon A Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber
Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
A Court Of Thorns And Roses by Sarah J. Maas
also some of these have a lot more romance than others it just depends again on what you want
I have more but these are the main like go to fantasy books that really introduce you to the different types of fantasy but aren't to hard to understand (or at least that's what I mainly found)

mady little | 4 comments Aw hey there! I’m new to this group too:)

For getting into fantasy, it really really depends on kind of books you like to read— adventure, romance, you know— the general vibe you like and whatnot.

But I’d say a good read for anyone is the Hunger Games. It checks the boxes of romance, lots of action, and a great plot. And if you don’t like it well enough to read the rest of the books in the series, it work great as a standalone too.

For more fantasy ideas check out my profile, I’ve got lots— and if you like my shelves you can always give me a follow;)

Happy reading!

Rowan | 652 comments I feel like the hunger games are more dystopian than fantasy- tho still def a must read.

My recommendations are:
The mortal instruments
The infernal devices trilogy
The school for good and evil
The secret circle
The fates divide duology
Ash princess trilogy
Acotar
The realm breaker trilogy by Victoria Aveyard
Pjo
Vampire academy
The cruel prince
The broken earth trilogy (fair warning, it’s dark and sad)

✨Emily✨ (Reed Darling’s version) | 130 comments I recommend The Prison Healer and Powerless. They’re both really amazing

Dragon Queen | 285 comments I read dark romance and fantasy and this is what I recommend to everyone getting into fantasy:
Powerless (fantasy with a good amount of romance)
Six of Crows (amazing fantasy book, the show is ok though)
Grave Mercy (slower book so I recommend to more experienced readers)
The Cruel Prince (not technically considered fantasy for some reason but super good)
Daughter of The Pirate King (amazing fantasy)
These Hollow Vows (a good one to start getting into fantasy-romance with)
The Kiss of Deception (gets a chef's kiss and is fantasy)
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue (great fantasy but is kinda confusing in the beginning)
Bride (fantasy-romance)
Butcher & Blackbird (Dark fantasy-romance)
The Song of Achilles (Greek mythology based fantasy)
Hope this helps!!!
