Josie and Gretchen go to meet the woman called Alice and it turns out to be Vera. However, things go all kinds of wrong, including Vera being shot and then all of them getting caught in a flash flood. Josie and Gretchen came close to dying and Vera does. Had you originally thought her fears were more paranoia or well grounded before this meeting? Josie finally has her emotional breakdown…do you envision an opening there? And the irony of Sawyer being in the boat that rescues them…?

I thought she was paranoid. How could anyone know she was back after 16 years? This whole case and the floods are bringing a lot of unresolved stuff up for Josie, the cracks in her iron control are forming. Josie has a sixth sense that is telling her that Sawyer is a problem for her.
