Goodreads Authors/Readers discussion

I’m being approached repeatedly with people asking me for my mom to my book, wothinfseconds they return and tell me they have left a review of the book and a 5 star rating.
Hiw can this be. They were just literally introduced to my book seconds ago.

There are trolls that pop up on here periodically, too. The best way to spot them is they have no friends, no profile photos, no books listed and their accounts are set to private! Most of them leave threatening messages to the authors, basically saying they will pirate their books and our laws can't touch them because they're not from our country, etc. If that happens, don't engage with them, just report to Goodreads and they'll get kicked off until the next time. I've been dealing with them periodically for probably 4 years now. It's pretty tiresome now! And keep an eye on your ratings, too -- they love to leave 1-star ratings to make the authors look bad!
