Anyone want to do a BR on a Non-Completist title?

Mention it here and see if anyone is interested and we can get it set up!

Justin (rockstarintraining) I grabbed Hell House by Matheson and Shades of Grey by Fforde if anyone wants to read along soon.

Justin (rockstarintraining) I actually picked it up off of your recommendation from a while ago. :)

RachelvlehcaR (charminggirl) | 149 comments I'm wondering if anyone would like to read Nothing Lasts Forever by Roderick Thorp. It's the first book in the Die Hard series but the second book in the Joe Leland, P.I. series.

Yes, it's where the movie 'Die Hard' came from.

One of my favorites movies, so I gotta read this! Want me to get a buddy read thread going for it? I have only dona a couple of them before, how do you prefer the format?

RachelvlehcaR (charminggirl) | 149 comments Yes, please make a thread. I love the movie too. It was watching it for Christmas, like our family always does-A Christmas tradition. When I saw when John gets off the plane and into the limo the credits to the book it was based off. All these years and I never saw that before. LOL I looked up the book and just had to get it.

I've been in all kinds of buddy reads. It depends on how long you want to take reading it. My copy of it is 261 pages so it will not take me that long. We can break it up to chunks or just read and put pages and percentages in spoils for a very relaxed style.

RachelvlehcaR (charminggirl) | 149 comments I forgot to say, if we break it down we will have to use a page number as well as title because the chapters don't have numbers, it's just times of the incident.

Okay - I will set it up, but I will defer to you for leadership! :) I will go with your flow.

I am also not sure how long it will take me to get a copy!

RachelvlehcaR (charminggirl) | 149 comments You get get a copy of it online for free, you can either read it on your computer or kindle, I've even read the books on my phone. Go to Open Library. Make an account, which is just a username and password, then type in 'Die Hard', 'Nothing Lasts Forever', and/or 'Roderick Thorp'. I find it easier to type in Roderick Thorp to get a list of his books then you make sure you have 'only ebooks' selected under the search bar. I get a lot of books I can't find from my public library this way. I love Open Library but please note what page you are one because it doesn't save pages for you and if you didn't keep track, you will have to search to find your place, which can be a nightmare.
