I'm looking for a children's book about a man who walks to work everyday and walks home everyday. During his walk he will see something and reports it to his family at dinner. He says "it is as big as..." His family will say they don't think it could be that big and then the next day he proves it by finding the comparison and showing them. His wife makes dinner everyday and always "chops onions for dinner". I know it was around in the 1990s.
