SarahKat | 6237 comments This thread is to discuss Dracul, the first book in the Stoker's Dracula series by Dacre Stoker.

Pages: 497 pages

Length: 1 month (September)

Participants: M, Beth

Everyone reads at their own pace during a Buddy Read. Because participants can be at different parts of the book at different times, it is extremely important to mark spoilers so that the book is not ruined for someone who is not as far along as others!!!

Mark spoilers by placing {spoiler} before the text and {/spoiler} after the text but use the < and > instead of the { and }.

Here are some questions to help get the conversation started! Feel free to look up discussion questions specific to this book or come up with your own. Just make sure any questions that contain spoilers are under spoiler tags.
Discussion questions are not required but may be a fun way to talk about the book and get to know each other!

Prior to starting:
What prompted you to join this buddy read?
Have you read this author before? What do you think of their other books?

Mid-read:
What character or ideas do you relate to the most and why?
Do you have any favorite quotes or scenes?

After reading:
What was enjoyable or not-so-enjoyable about this book?
Did this book change your perception about anything, either within the book (character development) or in real life?

M | 338 comments I'm pretty excited for this one so I'm likely to start this weekend.
I don't usually vibe with audiobooks but Libby says this one has a full cast (these are the kinds I like!) and it's available with no wait :)
I think I'm gonna listen and read along for a full experience haha

Jana (romanoffsgate87) | 231 comments I own this book , and the Un-Dead, so I think I'll join in on this one. I've read Dracula. I would love to see what these add to the story.

Jana (romanoffsgate87) | 231 comments Mid-read thoughts:

So I'm about halfway through this book and so far I'm really enjoying it. It's different than what I imagined it would be.

I really do like Matilda and her letters. I love her personal drive to seek answers.

Jana (romanoffsgate87) | 231 comments I really enjoyed reading this book. It really didn't change my views on anything other than the views of the original Dracula. Not for the better or worse, I just look at the story a little differently now.
