Everyone in Dana’s orbit believed she’d turned her life around and were stunned when she failed the drug test. Even her drug counselor was suspicious of the test results, especially since it meant she’d lose custody of Kellan. When did you begin to smell a rat or were you thinking that addicts can be very convincing?

I smelled a rat immediately. Maggie's suspicious behavior, the fact Dana did not kill herself, and the experts' knowledge of Dana convinced me.
