Can you guys believe it's September? I sure can't! This month, the challenge is to read a mystery.

There are so many great mysteries out there. You could read a cozy mystery like Murder by Cheesecake which is a Golden Girls mystery! Or The Ex-Girlfriend Murder Club or The Ex-Girlfriend Murder Club, or even a A Most Puzzling Murder, which has been categorized as not quite cozy mystery by the blog beyondthebookends.

You could try out some historical mysteries like Etiquette for Lovers and Killers or The Stolen Queen.

You can try mysteries that lean more into thrillers, like End of Story or Assume Nothing or The Language of the Birds.

So many options. Have fun!

Darin | 121 comments I finished listening to "One Shot" by Lee Child - fantastic! I did start it before this challenge, so my plan is to listen to "Twilight Falls" by Juneau Black. This is book #4 in the Shady Hollow Mystery series. It's pretty cozy - all of the characters are animals, but in the preface of the book, the authors (Juneau Black is a pseudonym) say that the animals represent people, or something like that. I've enjoyed the series so far.
