S. Ann Cole (sanncole) | 29 comments Hi!

I recently created a book page for my upcoming book, but didn't add a cover. However, after uploading the pre-order, the Amazon version has since been loaded onto Goodreads. Since the one I created only has the blurb, is it possible to delete that one so there isn't any confusion?
If not, can the two be merged?

My version: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Amazon's: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Also, question - the cover on the Amazon one is the temp cover. Will that automatically change when the final cover is added on Amazon, or is it better to add the final cover to my created book page now and then merge the two, then make mine the primary?

Thanks!
Ann

David Raz (davidraz) | 12724 comments None of this requires a superlibrarian. Please post future requests in the "Book & Author Page Issues" folder.

Having said that, the redundant edition wasn't shelved so I invalidated it. As for the cover, I think the bot will update it eventually, but I'm not sure. Try the "Questions" folder.

My apologies! I was following other merge request posts. I didn't know this wasn't the right thread. Thank you!

Will do! It's just old habit of creating a new book on here long since before Amazon acquired Goodreads. Everything has gotten a lot confusing since then. But in the future, I will just wait for Goodreads to automatically import the book from Amazon.
