This book is likely to be in my top 10 of all time - I’ve brought it and will be keeping to return to over again in the future. It’s exquisite!

My most recent reads have reviews on my profile.
My next four reads are
- Eeny Meeny - a crime thriller that my tik tok book club have selected as book of the month.
And mine are
- Tomorow and Tomorow and Tomorow
- where the crawdads sing
- another book from Shafak - yet to decide (I’ve brought most of them)
- and the courage to be disliked
I’m on a “to read” list mission - gathering old and new reads for my new nook I’m creating at home as a gift to myself, a few brand new purchases and some gems I’m finding on Vinted.
A book I am re-reading and would highly highly highly recommend but haven’t yet reviewed is “The Distance Between Us” by Reyna Grande - if rivers in the sky has your heart I would highly recommend this read also … this is one of my all time favourites that I treasure

My own favorite book of Shafak's is The Island of Missing Trees. And, I loved Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow.
Happy reading!

10 Minutes 38 Seconds in This Strange World and Three Daughters of Eve. They are very different in tone so it depends on what you are in the mood to read. I also quite enjoyed The Island of Missing Trees.
Shafak should be praised for her ability to capture the spirit of a fictional novel, whilst cleverly incorporating elements of factual history, culture and their significance in the present.
The back and forth jumps through the ages with each chapter does not feel “choppy” or “disjointed” …Shafaks story telling flows as natural as a river.
This novel is a delight!
