Felden Vareth | 7 comments Hello Goodreads Team,

I am writing to request your urgent assistance regarding my author profile and book listings.

Some outdated editions of my book, originally published under my real name, are still visible on Goodreads even though they were removed from Amazon and are no longer available for sale. These outdated editions are now being merged with the newer versions published under my pseudonym, which means that my real name appears publicly alongside my pseudonym. This was not intended and represents a serious privacy and data protection concern.

To resolve this, I kindly request the following actions:

1. Merge into one work (Spanish editions):

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

2. Merge into a separate work (English editions):

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

3. Remove as out of print/unavailable (old editions with my real name):

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

👉 The goal is to keep only 5 editions in total none of them showing my real name

3 in Spanish (grouped under one work)

2 in English (grouped under a separate work)

It is very important for me that my real name is not displayed together with my pseudonym, both for professional reasons and for compliance with data protection regulations.

Thank you very much for your prompt attention to this matter.

Best regards, Felden Vareth

Felden Vareth | 7 comments The reason I created a new version in Amazon —even losing the sales history and reviews— was precisely to hide my real name. Unfortunately, Goodreads is now showing it publicly again, which defeats that purpose and represents a serious privacy and data protection concern that may affect my work. I kindly ask that this issue be corrected as soon as possible.

Scott | 8667 comments It has already been explained to you that we do not separate editions on language. As for your name, it is policy to retain the original author name as primary, if a book was published under that name.

Felden Vareth | 7 comments Scott, I understand the cataloging rules about editions and languages. However, this is not a matter of catalog policy but of privacy and data protection.

The reason I unpublished my earlier editions on Amazon and created new ones under my pseudonym Felden Vareth was exactly to hide my real name. Goodreads is now displaying it again and linking it, which compromises my privacy and puts me in a difficult position.

I kindly ask that you replace Federico Valdivia with Felden Vareth as the author name in those records, or alternatively remove the two editions where my real name appears. I cannot make this change myself, and it is important for me that my real name does not remain visible on Goodreads.

This is not simply a matter of catalog structure but of personal privacy and protection of personal data. I trust that there is a way to correct this, and I sincerely ask for your help to resolve it.

Thank you.
