One trend we can already anticipate is the increasing pressure on individuals in this AI-driven world. To navigate this landscape effectively, I believe it's crucial for everyone to maintain a strong foundation of basic knowledge. This isn't just about staying informed—it's about preserving our ability to control our own lives and avoid being manipulated, whether by AI itself or by those who control it.
In this new era, we'll need to learn more, develop greater capabilities, and constantly strive to ensure AI serves us rather than undermines us.
These are some of the ideas I explore in my recent book, Youth's Inquiry: The Rational Guide to Life's Biggest Questions . It examines our world, society, and human nature through the lens of physics and information theory, aiming to provide a contemporary framework for understanding the complex forces shaping our lives today.
These questions inspired me to write The Real Dangers of AI where I share my thoughts on how society might be reshaped and why education must adapt quickly. I would love to hear what others think. Do you feel AI is more of a tool that will help humanity grow, or a danger we are underestimating?
