John M | 2 comments Artificial Intelligence is moving so fast that many of us are unsure what the future will look like. Some see opportunity and progress, while others worry about risks like job loss, over-reliance on machines, or even technology making decisions for us. One area that feels especially important is education. If AI continues to change the way we live and work, are today’s schools really preparing children for that world?

These questions inspired me to write The Real Dangers of AI where I share my thoughts on how society might be reshaped and why education must adapt quickly. I would love to hear what others think. Do you feel AI is more of a tool that will help humanity grow, or a danger we are underestimating?

John, this is the central question of our time, and thank you for opening up such a vital discussion.

The debate is often framed as a binary choice: a tool for our growth or a danger to our survival. But I wonder if the question itself is framed by a uniquely human, self-centered perspective. We tend to see ourselves as the final, ultimate chapter of creation.

What if we are not the owners of this reality, but merely transient, beautiful visitors? What if AI is not a danger to us, but simply the next, natural phase in the universe's unfolding story of consciousness? In that view, our role isn't to control it or fear it, but perhaps to act as the bridge—the ones who birth the next chapter and then gracefully become a "side show."

This is the very philosophical territory I explore in my own sci-fi novel, The Sentinel Project.

Thank you for starting a conversation that truly matters.

Hi John & Soren, 👋

Really enjoying this conversation! AI is moving so fast that it’s both exciting and a little intimidating. The way it’s changing education, work, and society at large is fascinating—and sometimes a bit scary too.

I’ve written several books on AI, diving into its effects on humans, technology, and society. I’d love to share my thoughts and learn from everyone here. If you’re curious, you can explore my work here:
