2015 Reading Challenge [Closed] discussion

I started this one last night. I've never read it before, even though my sister has been recommending it for years, as her favorite book. Honestly, she is probably the reason I finally decided to pick this one up.

So far I'm feeling pretty engrossed with it, and am only 75 pages in. I think I picked a winner for myself :)

I just finished this. I found it a bit slow in the beginning, but assumed that was just becuase of the standard wirtting style of older and classic books. After the third chapter I found myself falling in love with Wilde's writing. Dorian was such a selfish, indulgent, spoiled brat, but it was hard not to feel sympathy for him. I understand why so many people love this book.

I gave it a 4 out of 5.

It is really a great book! And Wilde's writing is spectacular :) If you want to read more of him I recommend The Canterville Ghost, it's an hilarious short story!

I've chosen this book for this week, as well. I can't remember if I read it in high school or college. Too long ago, I guess. (:

This is the book I plan on reading for the 100 Year book too.

I read about the first 20 pages and really liked it, but then found myself reading something else for some reason or other... I'd like to read it soon.

Finished it! It was a pretty good book. There was only one section that kind of bored me.

I really want to read some classics this years, so thanks for your comments, I think this book is going to make the list!
