I'm hoping this will be a nice easy, fun read. It's what my brain needs at the moment.

Today is the start date for our read!

Are we just using spoiler tags or reading a certain percentage. I started last night and I think I'm around 20% pretty good so far.

Just spoiler tags and the % is fine with me.

Looks like this is a short book at 158 pages. The version I got from the library is a collection of all 3.

That will make spoiler tags hard without the percent, I will post percent and chapter for you. I noticed it was pretty short right away I thought it was a novel.

If I can find the others at the library or to loan I would be up for buddy reading the entire series.

I'm about 50% and loving this story. Its so much fun! Can't wait to see what happens next. Craziness-(view spoiler)[ Randy and Willard fused together by the lightning to make one insane monster! Nice touch. (hide spoiler)]

I'm only at 20% at the moment and wishing the story would get going, bit too much set up for me.

When it does pick up, it takes off with a bang.

I notice that around 80% in my edition the typos get really bad. Almost to the point of being unreadable, the rest of the book was fine though must be the proofreaders decided to quit early or something. Hopefully they just missed a chapter or two.

That's funny. In my copy words run together. And it's been throughout so far.

Not at 80% but I've noticed one pretty glaring typo/mistake. Now I'll definitely be keeping an eye out.

Only a couple more pages to go, it only got bad for a little bit but the rest still had more typos than the beginning.

I noticed it's published through Crossroads, I've read a few people have had problems with formatting and typos with their work before.

I wonder if the sequel will be another alien movie or just them exploring whatever place the aliens have dropped them after using the people/place that they stole for this movie. I see them now in a world that is completely made up of different places, people, creatures etc...that the aliens have stole for movies. Kind of like a cosmic prop closet. (hide spoiler)]

I don't read on weekends but I will probably start the group read tomorrow at work and be ready to start the next one in this series on Tuesday.

I read quite a bit tonight, not sure where I'm at so I won't comment until tomorrow. I think I'm around fifty percent of the three book complete series. So far I really like it.

47% in complete drive in series chapter 7 popalongs story (view spoiler)[ so far I like it, popalong is an even weirder character than the popcorn king but I like him. I'm curious about how her boyfriend got burned up and if maybe popalong and his goonies followed her to where she is now with our main characters and if they are going to have to try to kill him also like they did the popcorn king. The intro said that it was an abrupt undying that didn't explain anything so I don't expect to find out about the aliens in this one but hopefully in the third book we will hear more about them and maybe someone will even get a chance to battle them rather than just the bad guys they are creating for their b movies. Yes, I'm about at the 49% mark. Popalong is pretty cool so far, (view spoiler)[wondering about the aliens myself. He's a crazy character! I'm glad they didn't rehash the girl's entire drive-in experience; I found myself getting bored with that section. For halfway through the second book, it doesn't seem like much has happened yet. I thought the "film" leeches were a nice touch though. (hide spoiler)]

Yea the leeches where cool. I expect it to take off soon, the first book was the same way with the first half going really slow and then it just went nuts and the shit hit the fan for the second half.

Finished the second book and enjoyed it, I loved the ending. (view spoiler)[ when they get to popalongs lair they poke him with a stick and he falls and breaks his face. That's perfect. I'm kind of disappointed that the lady is now living with his friend I was hoping they would get together. (hide spoiler)]

I finished this one over the weekend. Interesting ending and place to leave it off, I wonder what the third book could be about?

I finished the first one. I liked it but I expected a very different story. Not sure how that happened but it made me feel a bit disappointed.
