Anastasia (anastasiaharris) | 319 comments My son voluntarily chose this book for a school project and recommended it to me. I immediately put in on my list for this challenge.
I am eagerly waiting for this week to start.

Anastasia (anastasiaharris) | 319 comments I have seen so many portrayals of Sherlock Holmes that the mystery was not a surprise. I was confused at first by the second part when it shifts characters, setting, and story line. It felt like a separate story.
The story was very cryptic. I am glad that I have watched Sherlock Holmes movies or I would have been disappointed in thus book. The movies filled in some of the missing detail.
The new BBC series us a very close portrayal of the book. I highly recommend the show, but nit the book.

Adriana Pereira (adrianacecilia) I enjoyed this book but the transition from one storyline to another was somehow boring. I have the whole collection of Sherlock Holmes. So far I read this one and the Sign of Four. I completely lost interest when I start reading the 3rd book in the collection which is composed of short stories.

I remember watching the TV series in which Sherlock was played by Jeremy Brett. I think it set a pretty high standard for the books ahahah
