Hey all! I just started a Wordpress blog and am looking for people to follow! Tell me what you're all about and if I'm interested I'll follow! :) I only have Wordpress, though, so I think (I'm very new to this) I can only follow you if you also have it.

Mine is about the adventures of a Gryffindor at Comic Con and other geeky pursuits. You can find it here: levelsofepicness.wordpress.com

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 2898 comments I'm not sure about actual following, but I believe you can comment on Blogger blogs with a wordpress account (some, anyway). I also have a "follow by e-mail" option on my sidebar. Plus, my posts appear here on Goodreads via a feed, as well as on Twitter and Facebook. So, you have plenty of options if you're interested in following my blog posts. Though, it's fine if you're not. :)

Anyway, if you're interested... Or, if anyone else is... My blog is about all sorts of things from my life, as well as my books. I have three regular themed posting slots, and will sometimes throw in other posts if I have a reason to do so (like if I'm doing an author spotlight, announcing an interview I've done, or posting a book release, etc).

The regular posting slots are:

Monday's random mutterings - anything I have to say about other people's books, updates on my progress with craft projects, anything worth mentioning from my day to day life, movies I've watched recently, etc.

Wednesday's writing related ramblings - my own writing updates, and any interesting articles I've seen recently about writing or publishing.

Furkid Friday - photos and updates about my pets, but from their point of view (I have eight pet rodents, and alternate between their different points of view each week to do the "Furkid Friday" posts).

My blog is here: http://ziglernews.blogspot.com

Hi Carrington — this is a great idea! I blog on my website here: http://www.mattrydeen.com/blog/ mostly about my writing journey as I'm completing my first manuscript, which is a memoir about growing up in an environment with addiction, domestic violence, and mental illness. Heavy subject to be sure, but I'm hoping to also illustrate that it's possible to become a healthy human being after surviving such trauma as a child, and give a voice to those who have remained silent for numerous reasons. Follow along if you'd like!

I'm off to read some of your geeky adventures now! :-)

Best,
Matt

Thank you Christine. Blogging allows me to share my thoughts with others. Please note that I used the word thoughts, not to be mistaken for wisdom.
I look forward to reading any comments or opinions you may wish to express at the end of some of the posts. As I am in the habit of saying: "Some of my best ideas have come from others".

I write about our travels - in March this year we did 4300 km from Sydney via Broken Hill and Adelaide - I add photos of places visited. I found links in the graveyard of Beechworth in Victoria, to the US civil war, Napoleonic war and the US war with Mexico -
each grave had the basics of a great novel :-o)

Wade Garret | 182 comments I post things on writing I've found either interesting or true—as in, other writers should be aware of these things. I post about movies I've seen or want to see. I post about comics I'm reading. Books I'm reading. I post some about TV shows that I'm into. Also, I do post some scientific/political/environmental stuff I find cool or shocking that maybe people would like to see. However, I don't "blog" nearly as much as I should and mostly it's cut'n'paste or direct links. I use Twitter mostly cause it's the best way to stay in direct communication with followers/fans. I use FB book too, but that's mostly for people who either seek me out or other writers/authors/publishers and so on for me to chat with and learn from.

I learned a lot about how to write a story (okay, I was already a writer when I got the gig). I wrote down a lot of what I've learned into a series called "How to Write a Salable Book or Novel" which is on my blog. There's also other articles I've written along with guest articles from other professionals.

Of course, the main reason for the blog is to bring in customers for my copy editing service, but the articles are a free "extra". Enjoy!

The other one is for book reviews, shorts and store locator of my published work, guest posts etc. This blog is along with my friend Geeta. The url is www.readingwritings.blogspot.com

The posts in both blogs have a link published at my fb page www.facebook.com/OneStopDestination and google+ page www.plus.google.com/OneStopDestinatio...

Bouquets and Brickbats are welcome:-)

Thanks for a patient reading.

Glen Shuld (glenshuld) | 3 comments My blog is to expand on the themes of my book. Primarily how to talk about, understand, and resolve the thorny issues of racism from all sides, honestly and without judgement. There are a lot of well-intentioned people who are afraid to weigh in because of the domination of the dialogue by extremists.

Ashley Blodgett | 3 comments My blog is about anything or everything. It is also called anything or everything. It houses reviews on websites or books. Author interviews, writing props, and even canning and stay at home mom problems. Lol

Leeland Artra (lartra) | 20 comments LOL I have no idea what my blog is about. I drop random things into it. Some about my books, some about my writing, some about life. I should probably come up with a theme...

Effie Kammenou (effiekammenou) | 723 comments My blog is actually a food blog. I've been writing it long before i started my novel. I write not only recipes, but stories about the foods - traditions and memories. Many of the recipes are Greek recipes, but not all. I cook everything. Since my book is a story rooted in greek heritage and culture - a family saga and love story - I have been cross promoting the book on my blog and visa versa. The novel contains some recipes between the chapters, so the promotion on the blog has worked well. I have been using excerpts from the book that pertain to a certain food and sharing that recipe. I now have ten times the blog followers. https://cheffieskitchen.wordpress.com

LaughingLeopardPress | 5 comments Our blog's current focus is on creative ways to prevent bullying and encourage kindness in young children, as well as literature which promotes this cause. This theme ties in with our recently published picture book This is A. Blob, which helps open the discussion about bullying and being a bully with young children. We try to make all our posts creative and entertaining as well as educational! We hope to have some author interviews and posts about writing up in the near future!
