Just finished it today. My review:
I wasn't sure what to make of this one for a long while. After reading Many Waters I wasn't sure what theological points she was trying to make. L'Engle does such an interesting job of mixing theoretical (and fantastical) physics and biology with spiritual life and theory. She asks outside-the-box questions that don't necessarily answer themselves in her books, but are more left up to the reader to ponder and discuss with others. She doesn't really make a case either for or against a Creator God, yet she, through some of her characters, makes a strong statement--directly--about the nature of the love of Christ.
It's definitely one of the better of her Time stories and definitely worth discussing after reading, and certainly worth thinking about.
4/5
