Cassandra Clare confirmed that Dominic Sherwood (who appeared in Vampire Academy movie and Style music video) will play Jace Wayland in the TV series. I'm kinda hoping that they'll cast younger actors.

I think he kinda looks like Jace but I think he looks more like Sebastian. But I hope he'll be able to pull it off. Although I think Jamie Campbell Bower (who played Jace in City of Bones movie) did a great job, I think Dominic will be a good Jace also.

The books are amazing, I hope they won't change anything in the show. I'll definitely watch it.

Can't wait to see who will play Clary, Simon and Izzy.

I thought Robert Sheehan was the best Simon.

Honestly every time i picture Jace all i see is Jamie C. Bower

According to McG, who is set to direct the first episode, the casting is still in progress.

McG also directed the Charlie's Angels movies, This Means War, and The DUFF.


According to some sources, the TV show will come on early 2016 on ABC Family.The show will have 13 episodes for start. Apparently, the first episode will be called “The Mortal Cup”, due to a tweet McG posted...

It is confirmed that Alberto Rosende and Emeraude Toubia have been cast to play Simon and Isabelle respectively.

I'm quite disappointed for Simon. I'm expecting more and I really like Robert Sheehan better. He's the perfect Simon. But, we'll see.

And for Isabelle, Latina Emeraude Toubia is perfect. She's really gorgeous.

Can't wait for Clary and Alec...

I think the cast so far is ok I think Simon and Clary were cast well but I think they could have done better for Isabelle I just never pictured her so tan I pictured her more long dark sleek black hair and porcelain skin I guess! I can't wait for Alec and Magnus AND JACE

I think the people who are cast that look exactly how I picture them in the books are:

~Clary
~Simon
~Isabelle

Though I am currently re-reading City of Glass and it said that Clary has green eyes. I'm not sure if I'm right. However, I hope in the show they give her contacts so she still has green eyes.
