This book was recommend by a coworker who has similar tastes to myself, and I was really looking forward to reading it.
The language in this book, and the descriptions were very poetic, and the characters were rich, and engrossing.
But, I am not a fan of stories that take place during the civil rights movement, though, I certainly understand those who do.
For its subject matter, it was a very well done book, and I would recommend it to read. I would also say that it could be one that could classify as one that makes you cry for it did in more than one place for me.
If you are a fan of books that take place in the early 60s, and use the civil rights movements as a driving as almost another character in and of itself, I would say this book should be put on your to be read list.
Also, if you need one for made into a film...this could also qualify.
