Hey everyone! I decided that we should have another poetry contest!! *crowd goes crazy with applause* Yeah, I know, pretty exciting. Anyway, you guys will have plenty of time to apply into the contest and begin writing. This contest will end on May 9, 2015. So let me know if you will be participating!! Good luck writers.

Happy Birthday

Fifteen blows out my candles
And try to make a wish for five flames
Cause today only lasts just a moment
These wishes will set my life
Heal it and protect me from harm
Hopefully they come true

One: People see the real me
That there is beauty full love
Caring person waiting to break out
Been imprisoned since those closed me
Those never giving me a chance
And for the times of being scared

Two: My family is together
No more fighting and yelling
Disagreeing with everything
Yes, there are two sides of the story
But ever hear the third
Of the person witnessing it all

Three: Being enough
Parents always wanting more from me
Begging down on both my knees for mercy
Eating sweets without a care
Never caring about my hair
Clothing own style and fair

Four: Smile when someone looks my way
Everyday I hide myself in a shell
Not opening up to others
Fearing no acceptance from anyone
Eyes filling with joy instead of sorrow
Maybe it will come true tomorrow

Five: Having what I need
Not getting any item worth trashing
No jewelry or clothing, sharing ones
Getting education and passing
Having shelter and food, some books
Most importantly the welcoming of love

Closing my eyes, I make my wish
Blowing out the five candles
Just another birthday to spend
Me, my family and friends
Happy Birthday

Machine of Life

Two life songs will bind

Some gears will break

Life goes on
It turns without care

Gears keep on moving
Life putters on
