LEVELS: OPTION #1 RULES:
Play “Mother, May I?” with us. Choose as many of the letter as you can and read a book corresponding to a category. You may substitute any letter twice by choosing to read a letter the old-fashioned way (title, author, etc.). In addition, you may choose two “Reader’s Choice” or “Wild Card” Birthday Babies books to replace a letter. If you want to lower your goal (from 10 books to 7), try spelling “Mom, May I?" In this case, you may use either “M” listed. OPTION #2 RULES:
Select books that meet the criteria from the 2X2 options below. See how many you can get! Don’t forget, when setting your goal, you still have the option of two “Reader’s Choice” or using books from the shelves of our “Wild Card” Birthday Babies. OPTION #3 RULES (Spell-It-Out):
Our Spell-It-Out rules apply here. Spell out anything that reminds you of May or Mother. Select your mom’s name or your favorite flower, or something pertaining to May and Spell-It-Out. Read books with titles, series names, authors (first or last name), character (first or last name), that begin with letters that correspond to letters of the word you choose. You may ignore the indefinite and definite articles (a, an, the, etc.). OPTION #4
Do all - or a bit of all of these.
“Wild Card” Birthday Babies for May:
