Laura Riedel | 59 comments This is my Pulitzer Prize book. I loved this book. The story takes place in Paris, and Germany during Nazi occupation. It follows the story of a blind Parisian girl Marie-Laure, and a German orphan named Werner. It is not a fast read, and it takes some time. I found it it worthwhile, and extremely rewarding. The writing was beautiful, and poetic. The details created a vision of the characters world. I have found people either love or hate this book. If you are looking for a fast paced book to finish in a couple of days, this isn't it. Happy reading!!

Betsie (bookishbetsie) | 2 comments This was my PP choice too and I really loved it. It was almost my "based entirely on cover" choice because I've been picking the book up in stores for months and admiring the cover. The story was wonderful and very well told. Once I hit the mid point, I did find that it went faster than the first half of the book.

Amanda (amandabookworm) I may move this one to the Pulitzer Prize category for me. I put it in the 500+ page category before it won the Pulitzer, but I can easily find another 500+ page book.

Amanda (amandabookworm) I found another book for the Pulitzer Prize category, so I left this one in 500+ pages. I was happy, however, to see that it had won the Pulitzer Prize. It is a well written novel and deserved recognition!
