In order to increase group interaction (and participation) within this reading challenge, as well as the three other perpetual challenges I host, I've decided to host this MEGA read-a-long event. For The Fantasy Project part of the read-a-long, which is coming in June, I chose A Great And Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. I went through all of your lists and it seemed this was one of the books that most of us (not all) have on our lists. If you don't have it on your list, you can still join us whether you end up adding it to your list or not. Also, feel free to join in on the other read-a-longs. You do not have to sign up for the other reading challenges to join in on the read-a-longs.

The hub for the entire event will be at my blog at http://www.truebookaddict.com but the individual read-a-longs will be hosted at their respective blogs (I will list those below). The Libba Bray read-a-long will be hosted at the main Fantasy Project blog and I will also post the discussions here in the group.

Here is the awesome button I created for the event.

So, here is the schedule of read-a-longs and their respective blog urls:

June 2015: A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray - hosted here and at http://101fantasychallenge.blogspot.com/

July/August 2015: The Covenant by James A. Michener - hosted at http://themichenerchallenge.blogspot....

September 2015: The Wolf Gift by Anne Rice - hosted at https://annericeneverends.wordpress.com/

October 2015: Salem's Lot by Stephen King - hosted at http://skchallenge.blogspot.com/

Stay tuned. I will be posting the read-a-long schedule for A Great and Terrible Beauty soon.

Vielka (kitita) | 2 comments Hello Michelle: question: Can I read any book or I have to read the ones you have listed, because I have a list of the book I want to read this year, I am going for my book # 3, Ambition and Desire now, and after that I have another ready and I take my time reading my books, please let me know if I can read mines and tell me what I have to do.
Thank you so much

Hi Vielka,

These are read-a-longs for the specific books mentioned so in order to participate, you would have to read these books. However, I'm having my High Summer Read-a-Thon in July and you can read what you want for that. I'll be posting the sign up and event invite for that soon.

Hope I was able to answer your question. :)

So sorry, Jennifer. I do hope your move went well though. FYI...The Covenant read-a-long just started and it goes through August. Then we have Anne Rice's The Wolf Gift in September and Stephen King's Salem's Lot in October. You do not have to be signed up for those reading challenges to participate. Hope you'll consider joining us.

On another note, we will be having another Wheel of Fortune spin soon so stay tuned. :)
