The Stranger is still listed as To Read until the end of the month, and The Bone Tree goes until mid June.
Don't forget to line up a copy of Finders Keepers (release June 2nd) for our June book.
We've got Go Set a Watchman lined up for July. I'm trying to decide whether I have time to listen to Sissy Spacek read To Kill a Mockingbird before then (recent audio release)
If anyone has new group read suggestions for later in the summer or fall, or is interested in the new Karin Slaughter, Pretty Girls, I am interested in it!

Anytime we read Slaughter, it's a good thing!!!

I posted elsewhere on the newest entry in The Girl Who series by Steig Larson, called The Girl in the Spider’s Web. I nominate this for our September or October read. The release date is September.

Pretty Girls: A Novel sounds good too. I think it's a standalone.

if slaughter is a standalone maybe by the time it comes out I'll be able to squeeze it in. I haven't been good with getting thought reconstructing amelia and other grp reads I've tried to do with the group. the arcs are taking over. everytime I say something to my sister she says she doesn't understand what I do them and can't just read what I want when I want it. I try and explain I usually enjoy doing them and can't resist and hate to give doing them up. I am doing other late night which ever books I want. My problem is staying online doing other non important things. yesterday was watching planner videos. I wish I can get motivated to do something like that. I'm thinking that maybe next year my journal will have stuff like that in. and I'm trying to locate an old filefax I used when I first moved here. I found one I had but trying to find a cloth one or pink one I had. they were both a good size to carry in pocket book. now I finally figured out about those stamps that you buy in sheets and can put on a block and stamp. I never knew about them. I'm thinking today might be going on a store trip to joanne's, target or walmart again. hopefully I won't go out of control.

We all have our little quirks and tics for selecting and reading the books we do, library due dates, 17 book stacks, blog tours, random selection, group read schedules. Whatever keeps us happily reading!

I need to stop the you tube videos at times it gets watching them out of control. it's taking over my reading life. I'll add the book to my mini arc (as in arc from staplers) sheduler. not saying that helps to get the book started but at least I have it listed down. I'm still trying to see which keeping take system will work for me. I think I'm going to start filling in these books (arcs, buddy reads, library due date which up to now I haven't keepen track up) in my purse date book which I seem even though I have other calendars around I look at more. okay one of the things I have been watching on you tube is doing the scrapebook on planners. and that was alot of the stuff I bought on friday at the stores I went too. stamp pads, stamps, pens, highlighers etc. am I out of control or what.

Is there a list that tells me what the group reads scheduled are? I tend to read something as soon as I get my hands on it, and want to be sure I know when to do chapter summaries.

Barry: Thanks!!! If you go to the bookshelf link from the group home the group read books are listed that we have selected with the date ranges we think we will use. Publication delays of course may occur.
As for chapter summaries if I know what the chapters are I have usually started a group thread folder. If I don't have that yet and you know chapter details please let me know!
I started a chapter one to ___ for Finders Keepers last night which is the next book scheduled for the June 2 release and no chapter details found yet. I don't think we have any future books listed that we already know chapters.

No. But I realized I was not sure which books were upcoming group reads. Now I'll bookmark the link, since I always bypass the home page.

Looks like the new Karin Slaughter book isn't going to be released in July as previously communicated; rats! I went ahead and listed Pretty Girls for an October book to group read. Of course we have the new Harper Lee book for July so we are set for the next book. If anyone sees something for August to suggest we can either start a poll or pick something outright.

I am, of course, disappointed that the Slaughter will be delayed.

It may be time to either start a poll or to vote here on the group read books to finish out the year 2015. Do you have suggestions or thoughts about the new Grisham and the new JK Rowling/Robert Galbraith for Group Reads or Buddy Reads?

The new Crais book, THE PROMISE, comes out in November.

Totally open to options, one of the things I like best is even if we don't all read the book at the same time, we can always dive in to the comments and feel like we read it with the group!!

Definitely with you on the Strike. Since we read a Grisham earlier this year (I think) I might look around for something else.

Just read the blurb for Rogue Lawyer and it sounds like an upscale Lincoln Lawyer. I'm intrigued, however, may change my mind about reading sooner rather than later.

lol, carol- i do read a lot of "fluff" and light stuff in the summer. i have a hard time keeping up with the group reads, though. sometimes there are more than one in a month. eventually i'll get to them. :)
