Andrea | 622 comments I can't read the Chad selection, as I can't find it in English, so I've decided to "assign" myself "Dark Age: The Political Odyssey of Emperor Bokassa" by Brian Titley for November/ December. If anyone else is reading it and would like to join in for a discussion, I'm on about page 70.

Marieke | 2459 comments I read it and enjoyed it/learned a lot. But I think I returned my copy. However, I returned it with the intention of getting my own copy. So I guess I'll do that quickly!

Andrea | 622 comments Oh, excellent. I'm entering the dark tunnel of end of term grading from now through the beginning of December, so all my grading will be slow for a couple of weeks.

Andrea | 622 comments If anyone is reading this, or considering it, I would highly recommend it. It is very readable and has some interesting analysis of the continued influence of France on CARs political and economic development, not pretty.

Marieke | 2459 comments That's how I felt, Andrea. I thought the book was very elucidating, if that's a word. My brain is mush at the moment. Apologies!
