I was browsing through the groups on goodreads, and this sounds exactly like what I've been looking for! This year, I did the 50-book challenge. However, I have some heavier books on my plate for next year, so I don't want to commit to that.
Now, why TBR to fix that? In 2007, I discovered the loveliness that is the library book sale. You know the kind: it's $5 for a paper bag, and you get to take whatever you can fit in there. Let's just say that I calculated it, and I spent roughly 17 cents a book, over 2 book sales. My husband has declared that I'm not allowed to buy any more books, at least not in earnest (I've gotten away with a couple), until I read the majority of the ones that I already have.
I'm on book 49 for my 50 books in 2009 challenge. Once I'm done, my new challenge will start here. Looking forward to it!
