I saw the preview last week and the visuals were really good of the Dixie Pig, kind of like how I'd imagined it, but no tapestry?!

OMG - this is really cool! I love book artwork, it makes me feel like the characters are coming alive, and this game is basically just a TON of artwork! The way it moves is a little awkward, and I had some trouble with the shooting gallery in the beginning, but I haven't gotten to any part that requires me to shoot yet. I stink at that, so I hope it won't hinder my ability to get through the game.

Sarah, I'm the same way. I need games like Vice City where you press the "I'm gonna shoot something" button and it automatically aims for you, you just toggle through victims targets. :P

Grrrrrr... I'm stuck at the end of the tunnel, where it's asking for a verbal entry code.

Any help?

I'm stuck there too. =\
I even looked in the book (SOS) when Sayre drags her through the tunnel, but it doesn't say what the code is, and I'm pretty sure that when Jake comes down later, Susannah opens the door from the other side.

So very frustrating! I've tried a bunch of character's names, too, and some of the words used in the "journal entry" for this location... There has to be something obvious we're missing. I can't believe it would leave the end to be a total guessing game.

Can you read what it says on the door, under "verbal entry code required"?

OK, I'm thinking that I may be stuck because I haven't yet found all of the character orbs. I only have 5 of 6. I'm going to have to look to see if I can find the last one.

Yeah, I'm missing one orb (#2) and one item (#5).

The other idea I had was, isn't there a phrase they use in the book, sort of like an "amen" that they all shout, "Say thankee!" or something like that? I wish I had read it more recently. Keep me posted & I'll do the same.

ok i just started playing this and couldn't find ANYTHING to pick up in The Dixie Pig

I found one item in the main dining room, some in the kitchen, but nothing in the bathroom or private dining room.

i found 1 in the main dining room, 1 in the kitchen and something else in the kitchen

At least we are here to help each other this is GREAT!

And 6 character orbs:

2. ? (This is the only one I don't have, and I suspect it's supposed to be Callahan)

4. Susannah
5. Oy
6. Roland

Anyone know what the last item is, or who the second character orb is, and where to find them?

I finally found callahan in the kitchen.

He's the one I've been looking everywhere for! Where did you find him? (Do you remember which POV?)

I think it was in panel 3 on the counter. May have been 7 though. Sorry I'm not more sure.

Rats. I found the last character orb, so now I have all items and all orbs, but I'm still stuck at the door.

Uhh... Well that was kind of a let down. Apparently this is a work in progress and only chapter one is done yet. =\

I`m afraid I`m not getting very far. So far I have 1) Jake`s Riza, 2)Callahans can-tah & 3) Jake-the orb. I can`t find anything else, or don`t know where to go next. Any hints?

The place where Leslie described Callahan is where I found Jake's orb (and I've been over it a million more times and can NOT find Callahan for the life of me!), which makes me wonder if they are in different places every time you play. =\

THanks Becky, for some reason I thought that all of the orbs and items had to be found BEFORE going into the Lobby & Tunnel. Silly me.

The places where the orbs and items are found are places where the people who used them or were there left a bit of themselves in the book. It makes sense when you see them all together like that. :)

Anybody know when the next chapter will release?

um the website said something about seeing how this chapter is received by fans and then getting King's approval.

Callahan orb is so hard to find.

Did you notice when you are in the lobby and look at view 3 the lamp is on the table and then when you look at view 4 the lamp is broken on the ground?

I am hoping to try this today, thanks to Becky! I just have to hope my very un-techie self will be able to get it...

Yes it is based off the DT books. I wish the game wasn't so short!

No... I don't think there's anything that's a spoiler, REALLY, in the game. But now you probably know that Jake goes to the Dixie Pig at some point or another after Book 4. LOL

Are you kidding?! Each character orb has a lengthy description of how they met Roland, how they ended up in mid-world, what they did over the course of the books - TONS of spoilers!

Oh really? I didn't see that stuff. I didn't know that there was any information connected to them at all! I just thought you unlocked stuff after collecting them.
