I love the Janet Evanovich numbers series with Stephanie Plum. These books are great for just a fun read and multiple laughs. I would recommend them to anyone who loves real characters.

I haven't gotten to the Twilight series yet.

Laskar Pelangi is tetralogy written by Indonesian writer andrea hirata. This is very inspirational story base on true story of the writer. This is about dream, love and friendship.. i really like this book. give me inspiration. we can makes our dream comes true, if we really want and fight to it.

V.C. Andrews - Multiple Series
Sophie Kinsella's - Shopaholic series
I would have to say as a series Janet Evanovich's Numbers series with Stephanie Plum the bounty hunter in Jersey. I know they are not great literature but they are so much fun and such a pleasure.

- The No 1 Ladies Detective Agency series (you may notice that this is the only non-young-adult series here :D)
- The Bartimaeus trilogy.
- And I'm expecting the fourth book of Chronicles of Ancient Darkness. I read in Indonesian translation version, book 4 is not available yet :(.
I read book #1 of A Series of Unfortunate Events, want to read the rest of the series.
I also want to read Madeleine L'Engle's Time Quartet (or Quintet?).

Twilight - Stepehenie Meyer

Shopaholic - Sophie Kinsella
Heather Wells - Meg Cabot (size 12...)
JP Beaumont - JA Jance
little lady... - Hester Browne
Plus I also love those that are semi series, and have overlapping characters but different main characters.
Watermelon and the rest of the Walsh girls books - Marian Keyes
It Had To Be You and the rest of the Chicago Stars - Susan Elizabeth Phillips
The Hot books (Item, Number, Stuff)- Carly Phillips
I just love overlapping characters it's so fun to catch up with them.

No, you are not the only one whose does NOT like Harry Potter. I absolutly just do not like the series or the movies either. See, you are not alone

Oh, what the heck, let's just share the series that you've read.

The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher
Nevada's Barr's Anna Pigeon series
Arcane Society novels by Jayne Ann Krentz/Amanda Quick
Sebastian St. Cyr mysteries by C. S. Harris
Patricia Briggs Mercedes Thompson series

Terry Pratchett's Discworld series
Nominally fantasy, but some of the best modern satire around. Various books take on Hollywood, international politics, the postal system, religion, you name it.
The Discworld books are eally several series, featuring different main characters, but who inhabit the same world and put in frequent guest appearances in each other's series.
See the website for guidance on getting started.

The Wrinkle in Time series by Madeleine L'Engel
The Dark is Rising by Susan Cooper
China Bayles Mysteries by Susan Wittig Alberts
Valentin St. Cyr Mysteries by David Fulmer
Maximum Ride by James Patterson
Aunt Dimity Mysteries by Nancy Atheron
Hercule Poirot by Agatha Christie(although not quite a series)
Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling(of course)
The Sister Grim Mysteries by Michael Buckley
I'm sure there's more, but that all I can think of at the moment

Harry Potter- J.K.Rowling
Lord of the Rings- J.R.R Tolkien
The Axis Trilogy- Sara Douglass
The Wayfare Redemption- Sara Douglass
The Tomorrow Series (onyl the first 3)- John Marsden
I have also started reading Books of the Cataclysm by Sean Williams
I have read the first book in the Darkglass Mountain Trilogy by Sara Douglass. The other books have not been published yet.
I noticed a lot of people don't like Harry Potter. I don't either... well, not anymore. I did until I finished the series. I have a lot of problems with the books especially regarding the ethical and moral values present... (please don't tell me I read too much into it.)

Then there are the books by Richard North Patterson that start with the Lasko Tangent and a character from that is in the next book, etc...so it is kind of a quasi-series...
And I am surprised no has mentioned the Anne of Green Gable series...Still love it after all of these years...
Also the Dragonriders of Pern by Anne McCaffrey

Dennis Lehane's Patrich Kenzie Series. A really good P.I. Series.
Patricia Cornwell's Scarpetta Series. Very good series. Kinda medical suspense.
Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch Series. They are kinda legal suspense. Really good!

1. The Chronicles of Narnia-C.S. Lewis
2. The Vampire Chronicles- Anne Rice
3. Lord Of The Rings - JRR Tolken
4. The Mayfair Witches- Anne Rice

you mentioned that you were wonder about the Janet Evanovich series with A, B, C, etc...
Janet Evanovich doesnt write the ABC books, but instead writes the Stephanie Plum number series (One for the Money, Two for the dough). Her books are hilarious and a great series, but the ABC's you might have seen are by Sue Grafton. Her books are A for Alibi, S for Suspect...
No one has mentioned her on here yet, so its a new suggestion if you're interested. BTW, her books are mystery/suspense type books.

The House of Niccolo series by Dorothy Dunnett
The Starbridge series, by Susan Howatch
and I enjoy:
the Hieronymous Bosch detective books by Michael Connelly
the Guido Brunetti mysteries by Donna Leon
Highly recommend all!

Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch Series
Diane Chamberlain's Keeper of the Light trilogy
Ian Rankin
Elizabeth George
Brother Cadafael
Sherlock Holmes
Daniel Silva
Some of my favorite series.

Kathy Brandt's underwater forensic diver series
C.J. Box's game warden series
Christine Goff's birdwatching series
Margaret Coel's Wind River Indian reservation series
Donna Andrews's female blacksmith series
Tim Cockey's mortician series
Maggie Sefton's knitting series
and of course, my own gift basket designer series, the first of which, A REAL BASKET CASE, was nominated for the 2007 Best First Novel Agatha Award, named for Agatha Christie. The second, TO HELL IN A HANDBASKET, will be published May, 2009.

Twilight series
Stephanie Plus
Sue Grafton
The Bookman Mysteries by John Dunning
Nicolas Freeling
Kinky Freidman mysteries
I like a lot of mystery books as a series...I mix in mystery with my usual non-fiction reading and classic novels. I tend to read just a little less fiction than non-fiction in the last few years.
I also love Travis McGee novels. I have meant to check out a series by Jasper Fforde...but haven't yet...they are supposed to be awesome.
I've written down several series just from reading these posts, thanks !

I've read (and own):
- Harry Potter series
- Own only Book 2 "The Reptile Room" of A Series Of Unfortunate Events
- The Sandman (graphic novel)
- The Wizard, The Knight by Gene Wolfe
I plan to buy the rest of the books in ASoUF in the future, and the three odd HP books that I don't have, and J.R.R. Tolkien's LOTR trilogy. I'm open to all genres, including graphic novels.
I've seen a lot of Janet Evanovich (sp?) at Indigo. I'm not sure if her novels are part of a serial? I've noticed a lot of her titles seem to be like "A is For... B is For..." etc.
Anyway, anybody care to share their favorite serials?
