That said, where do you want to go this year? Let us pass the cold, dead January days with dreams of future adventures...

I want to:

1. Hit the Pacific Northwest, which I haven't visited in close to sixteen years,
2. Visit my brother in Colorado,
3. Take my middle son to the baseball hall of fame.

And...you?

1. Seattle & Portland, since I haven't been since 2003
2. A canal barge trip through the south of France.
3. Vancouver, since I still haven't been and my sisters love it
4. New Zealand - this is a wish list, right?
5. Cape Town, since I still haven't been

i still have reasonably reasonable plans to go to spain for the run with the bulls this summer. i am saving money by giving plasma at biolife. $50/wk for about 3 hours total of laying there reading and texting while they pump the life juice outta me. btw - this event in pamplona is on my bucket list

The place I really want to go hasn't changed since the last time this topic was up. Well it hasn't changed in more than 15 years!

GREECE - specifically Greek island. *sigh* With a day to 2 in Athens to see the ruins. And another side trip to Majorca.

I've also always wanted to go to Africa, Turkey, and Israel.

I want to go to Egypt but I doubt that will happen this year. However, my friend and I are seriously contemplating going to Orlando, Fl once the Harry Potter amusement park opens.

I've got nothin' in this department. My plans for this year are to produce a baby, raise that baby, and student teach.
As always I dream about taking a road trip down to the gulf coast and swimming in the ocean, but it's hard to convince Sweeter to go, and it'll be even harder with a little person in tow.

Havana. now i would like to do that sometime. i spent about 10 days with a cuban doctor in la moskitia while working on a project with the Los Tawahka people a few years back and he really peaked my interest in visiting Cuba someday

been told it's not as cheap as you might think, I just hope I could make it before the end of this year.

I'd really like to make it to Spain this year- I'm looking at a trip in June - it's a wine and culture tour being organized through my university.

Other likely trips: home to visit my mom and family, DC for a conference, the beach a couple of times (it's close so that hardly counts as a trip).

Trips on the wish list: Greece, Pacific Northwest, Bar Harbor, Halifax, Scotland, Montreal

Now I have a strong desire to spend the morning researching trips!

At least you still have the Colts to care about. I just read an article that says the Cubs don't plan on Marlon Byrd being their CF past this year. They have a kid in the minors that they are counting on for next year.

Actually it seems that I've acclimated to the cold this year really well, and intentionally spent a couple of hours outside both days, but baseball never entered my thoughts while I was outside.

We try to go every summer Sally, but sometimes life intervenes. We really like that area.

It is west of the Eisenhower tunnel Larry, and East of Vail, it is on the west side of Lake Dillon.

Actually with the recliners, beer coolers and Big screen TV behind the ficus, it is more of a reward. :-)
