I wonder why? But you're right.. you really don't see a lot about this book like you do with some of the others, and I think it's right up there with some of the best of Kleypas.

He is so good with Lily!
The sexual tension along with the out wit out play theme make them one of my favorite couples. I thought Sara was boring. I was interested in Derek and was looking forward to his book but It was such a disappointment for me. He was not Alpha or dangerous enough. I still can't believe when he came upon his club burning he thought of that loss before thinking to ask where Sara was.

yes!

To me, he doesn't have the charisma that Derek does, but I still love Alex. Just not as much as Derek. Something about Derek just resonated with me. It might be that I love self-made men more than men who are born to the manner types. But I'll say it again, LK rarely writes heroes I don't love. I can only think of three: Nikolas, Logan, and Damon.
this was the MOST BRILLIANT read ..i loved it from beginning to end it had me from page one ...my FAV LK so far ...

Cynthia wrote: "I know you Rach, you love those saucy, rebellious, strong-willed women. I do too. I can't stand those namby-pamby's."
Ow i do like little ninnies to .. hehehe .. as long as they become dominated LOL

I think i should write a little of the record scene between Lilly and Derek .. i was hoping they would secretely evolve somehow ..

My favourite scene was where he turned up at Craven's and offered £10,000 on a turn of the cards for a night with Lily. Great fun to see him finally crack and jetison the uptight character.

I loved that although Lily was such a strong heroine she truly needed Alex.

Lily is now my second favorite LK heroine... behind Lillian Bowman... I thought they were slightly similar (except that Lily was more feminine and had the whole tortured-heroine thing going on); they both had spunk.
Derek was great too... I'm reading his story now. :)

Me too. I find some of LK's heroines not sappy but they tend to do more the gentle female strength thing. I like strong women who kick arse.

OMG...I am ALMOST done this one.
Debated whether or not to read this series after having finished the Wallflowers series. I am so glad I did. Alex is hot! And I love the fiestyness of Lily. She is my kind of gal! When she tied him up...loved it!

And not only did she tie him up, she left him in a state of frustration too! lol
***She thought her heart was safe, but…
Reckless, wild, and beautiful, Lily Lawson delights in shocking proper London society -- and now she is determined to rescue her sister from an unwanted impending marriage to the notorious Alex, Lord Raiford, by fair means or foul. But while she succeeds outrageously, Alex is a master gamesman who is not to be undone.
Alex has lost one bride, yet he is enchanted by this remarkable lady who is willing to break any rule to flaunt her independence. When Lily offers him only scorn, he counters with kindness, and he parries her blistering barbs with gentle words and a soft, tender touch. The spirited miss will pay dearly for her interference -- with her body, her soul, and her stubborn, unyielding heart. But will Alex's own heart be the prize to be won in this sensuous game of love?
