Believe me, I think Janet has earned every penny and more when it comes to the sales of her books. Nonetheless, every time I go to a thrift store I find at least 3 Janet Evanovich books. Usually Plum books! I picked up two today at a thrift store in Silver Spring Maryland for 75 cents! One is a hard cover in almost perfect condition. I'm currently supplying the addiction of a new convert, group member and mystery/romance author. Spread the word and the love! Oh and recycle! Janet books are everywhere and meant to be shared (and bought at any price!).

Magpie67 | 78 comments Indeed I have lots of her books at the Half Price Store in Omaha

Taylor Costello (the_doctor) | 4 comments I always see her novels whenever I make a trip over of my local Goodwill. I look at it as another reading addict being introduced to the respective series that she has written.

Donna (donnaenden) | 6 comments When I first started reading the plum series I found the first 12 (in paperback)at a yard sale and spent less that 5 dollars for all of them.

Wow! That's great Donna!

I still splurge on new release hard covers. Can't help myself and they look great on my bookshelf!

DKT (dkt13) | 12 comments We have a lot of used books stores in the area. Less than when I was younger, but still a decent number of them. I know my neighbor rarely buys a book from the store, she finds all of hers (even when she reads a series), at yard sales and the like.

Hailey (hailey421) | 12 comments I am ordering them from Amazon and getting really good prices on them.

Gail (koalabear3) try the libraries sometimes sell used books and I have been getting some of mine from www.thriftbooks.com Most of them are $3.99 usually I can get a hardcover copy and they ship free anywhere in the US no matter how many you buy and if you buy multiple books from the same location they give you a 50 cent discount per book.

Robin Mattei (memarobin) | 35 comments never thought of that....have to go soon. I get them from library usually but would live to own the series

Anita (anitanodiva) | 332 comments Before I became an e-book snob, I got a lot of books at thrift and second had book stores. Amazon and E-Bay are good too.

I just finished my first ebook ya'll! What a trip reading off of my iPad. I'll still continue to buy hard/soft print books of my fav authors but boy was it nice not having to lug multiple books on a recent trip. Any tips for ebook deals?

DKT (dkt13) | 12 comments I absolutely refused to get into ebooks. I remember saying the same thing about cell phones and home computers too but that's a different forum. Everyone I know who is an avid reader took the same stance ~ all preferred a "real" book. Everyone I know now have a kindle, I know one gal online who prefers a Nook. But everyone has converted and doesn't know how they lived without or why they were so stubborn.

If you can look into a Kindle ~ I prefer the nonfire ones, just upgraded from Kindle Keyboard to Voyage. The lady I work with is completely hooked on The Paperwhite. I cannot tell you the difference having one of those types of Kindles with make in your reading comfort. Until that time though at least enjoy the ebook experience.

Pixel of Ink is where I used to hang looking for ebook deals. I would have to look at home to see the other places I have bookmarked if I imported my bookmarks, I'll be back to share those but definitely check out Pixel of Ink. Also all of the classics are available for download at no cost. Any book published prior to 1923 or 1925 is free for the download.

DKT (dkt13) | 12 comments Searched real Quick and Found this site too: http://zenbeast.com/free-kindle-books/

Seems to be a variety. Make absolutely sure you verify price is free prior to downloading, as prices are always subject to change.

This site looks to list a bunch: http://freebies.about.com/od/onlinebo...

Safely search the places they list and you may luck into something too.

GR may be partnered with Pixel of Ink, I think I may belong to a PoI group through here. There also could be a group or several that are devoted to Free Kindle Books somewhere in this GR site. I am not familiar but someone who sees this may be. Just checked the Pixel of Ink group I belong to inside of GR is inactive it appears. Pixel of Ink itself is not though.

Just want to say too please make sure you have your securities on when checking out the sites listed, I wouldn't want you to buggar up your pc/ipad searching, but wanted to try and get you some places to get books. You public library may lend them as well, if you haven't checked.

Edit to Add: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...

They have a section of Free/ Cheap/ On Sale in this group.
