Here everyone can post pics of their personal bookcase :)

Going to attempt to sort out my books, will maybe take a pic if I deem it good enough :P I might as well take a pic of my pc lol, seeing as that's where 90% of them are :P

That's funny, because in South Africa I had all my books on the long shelf above the clothes hanging space too! :-)

We've moved five times in six years since we moved to Scotland (renting sucks) so this time I didn't bother to unpack all my books, just the "I can't live without you" group. I must get my camera and take a photo of them.

Moving so many times I can imagine it can't be fun to keep on unpacking your books. Can't wait to see your "I can't live without you" group!

My book collecting addiction has forced me to take some drastic space-saving measures. But I love how full my shelf looks :)

But this is a tiny collection compared to the one I used to have at my parents old place... sigh I miss that room. I'll see if I can find a pic of it anywhere. Ohh and you can see a bit of my reading chair in the corner, a black recliner that I "borrowed" from the lounge.

Aaaawww I thought you guys were gonna post all the books you have in this discussion. Then I could pick some... Hehe! Like shopping! Hehe!

It's clear that I'm in dire need of some more books!

I can see why all my book collector friends go all crazy-eyed and possessive when I ask to borrow anything. One could get attached to those lovely shelves of books. You make me want to get a bookshelf and become a bookhoarder, dammit. I always give in though and give away or trade my books, so I have a fairly small collection right now.

You definitely get attached. I'm one of those people that can't let go of a book once I have it. Simply can't see myself willingly giving it away.

Hello All, this looks like an interesting thread to make my first post to this group. (I'm also trying to see how to get img links to work on Goodreads.)

My main bookshelf (the middle shelf on the right contains mainly DVD movies).



Another shelf containing mainly coffee table books and reference books.

Wow those are some really good looking shelves!

Those are definitely good looking shelves. My next bookcase might have to be something similar.

Agree with Crusader about space being too limited for my collection though :)

Taking a pic at this stage is impossible! I own about 400 odd books and they are nomadic... Bouncing between Prince Albert and Wilderness! Also Charl has some in Cape Town. Once my shelf here is sorted I will take a pic... Books and the Karoo go together well!

i don't know if it's strange or not...how much i enjoyed seeing everybody elses bookshelves.

When I work out how to uplaod phto's I will upload by bookshelf (looking surprisingly neat for a change)

We finally completed the last fiction bookcase, and everything has been repacked after the last book spree!!

That is a magnificent bookcase! So envious.
