*SPOILER*
But I really thought the fact that Jace and Clary are related really ruined it for me. I really thought/wanted then to end up together :(

Don't get too upset, there are still two more books to read, you never know what might turn out!

I think that Jace is my favourite character in the books, but I really love them all, I also really like Luke, Simon, Mangus and Izzy. There are just so many great characters in these books it's hard to chose.
Who's your favourite Julianna?
Who's your favourite Julianna?

:D I was hoping that would be the case!!
And heather in the 1st comment you said this series was a trilogy, so how come there's a 4th book?
Thats in Simon's point of view so not technically part of the trilogy.
Ya it's conected, but different I guess, and everyone calls it a trilogy so I've gotten used to calling it that.

I can imagine, I read all the books one after another and I was still rushing through them cause I wanted to know what would happen so bad.
You'll live, you CAN NOT ruin it, that would be aweful. And I know what it's like to wait for books, I've been waiting for the next Vampire Academy book to come out since the beginning of september, and it still doesn't come out till may!!!

If not, my friends sister bought it when it was 1st released in Like 1996.
But the final one isn't coming out till this summer lol
imagine waiting 14years for a book to come out hahahah
wooww 14 years?? If it was amazing like the Mortal Instruments I have no idea how I would manage!

Well, most people would say Jace, but my favourite is actually Magnus Bane~ He's The type of character you wish was real just because they would be so awesome to hang out with. lol.
But, of course, Jace is my second fav. I mean, who doesnt love him? He's a GOD. haha.

I cannot believe it! I dont know what I'd do if I had to wait so long. I read through all three books in three days! I had to bug my brother to drive me to Chapters day after day :P But, honestly, Its worth the wait. They are officially my favourite series. LOVE them. :) :) :)

Ya a lot of people say the Mangus is their favourite, I love him, but i don't think that he was my favourite in the books. I find it actually really hard to chose a fabourtie cause all the characters were really good. And yes Jace is like a God :P

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder - much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing - not even a smear of blood - to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?
This is Clary's first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It's also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know....
Exotic and gritty, exhilarating and utterly gripping, Cassandra Clare's ferociously entertaining fantasy takes readers on a wild ride that they will never want to end.
City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare
Clary Fray just wishes that her life would go back to normal. But what's normal when you're a demon-slaying Shadowhunter, your mother is in a magically induced coma, and you can suddenly see Downworlders like werewolves, vampires, and faeries? If Clary left the world of the Shadowhunters behind, it would mean more time with her best friend, Simon, who's becoming more than a friend. But the Shadowhunting world isn't ready to let her go -- especially her handsome, infuriating, newfound brother, Jace. And Clary's only chance to help her mother is to track down rogue Shadowhunter Valentine, who is probably insane, certainly evil -- and also her father.
To complicate matters, someone in New York City is murdering Downworlder children. Is Valentine behind the killings -- and if he is, what is he trying to do? When the second of the Mortal Instruments, the Soul-Sword, is stolen, the terrifying Inquisitor arrives to investigate and zooms right in on Jace. How can Clary stop Valentine if Jace is willing to betray everything he believes in to help their father?
In this breathtaking sequel to City of Bones, Cassandra Clare lures her readers back into the dark grip of New York City's Downworld, where love is never safe and power becomes the deadliest temptation.
City of Glass by Cassandra Clare
To save her mother's life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters -- never mind that entering the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and Simon has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight.
As Clary uncovers more about her family's past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadow-hunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadow-hunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he's willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her new found powers to help save the Glass City -- whatever the cost?
Love is a mortal sin and the secrets of the past prove deadly as Clary and Jace face down Valentine in the final installment of the New York Times bestselling trilogy The Mortal Instruments.
City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare
City of Fallen Angels takes place after the events of City of Glass. It splits its focus between Jace and Clary and Clary’s best friend, Simon, and how he adjusts to life as a vampire, but it’s still an ensemble-cast story, and all the characters from the Mortal Instruments series appear in it: Jace, Isabelle, Alec, Magnus, Luke, Jocelyn, Maia, and many more. (It even helps to have read The Clockwork Angel before you read CoFA, because some of the characters from the ID series do show up in it. However, it isn’t required.) In City of Fallen Angels, someone’s killing the Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine’s Circle and leaving their bodies around New York City in a manner designed to provoke hostility between Downworlders and Shadowhunters. Internecine warfare among vampires is ripping the Downworld community apart, and only Simon — the Daylighter who everyone wants on their side — can decide the outcome; too bad he wants nothing to do with Downworld politics. Meanwhile Jace and Clary investigate a mystery that has deeply personal consequences for them — consequences that may strengthen their relationship, or rip it apart forever. Love, blood, betrayal and revenge: the stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels.
