Hey Garth, I see you're well on your way. What do you think of the Cyclist's Training Manual? Is it applicable to indoor stationary bike training as well?

message 11: by Garth (last edited Mar 18, 2010 11:21AM) (new)

Garth (garthm34) | 36 comments Hey Joe, we'll see how it goes I'm ahead of the game right now, anyway. lol

The Cyclist's Training Manual is an excellent book, although, for pretty serious road cyclists. The central goal of the book is to prepare you for competition, starting with base training targeting gradual increases in work load to improve endurance, strength, efficiency and power.

Joe, if you're interested in that I'm happy to explain in greater detail. If, as you seem to be, interested in indoor stationary bike training shoot me an email with a line or two of what you're after and I'd be happy to recommend something.

Hey, Joe... almost, almost. :) Just need to add a couple for January and I'm done for 2010, but looks like I made the goal of 50 books and a few to spare. Thanks for the invite/challenge. :)

You creamed the 50 books in a year, did you make it to a 100 or close to it?

I creamed the 50 in June, but was shy of two for the 100. I did 98. Still, it was a lifetime achievement so far. I heading to nail it this year (and then some). Staying with the 50 though. They are a solid group.
