The Book Challenge discussion

I need to find a book that has an author with the last name starting with X and a book title with Z. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Thanks!

Hahaha! I have Xu Xi too...it's the only author I've found that starts with a X.

For Z is easier. You could read Isabel Allende's Zorro. It's a very entertaining, quick read and it tells the story of how Zorro became Zorro, his youth, etc. Too bad I already read it...

Also, there are tons of books that start with Zero...the one I'm planning to read is called "The Zero."

I'm changing my X author to Gao Xingjian...that book looks interesting!

My Z title last year was The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks.

I have also had William Browning Spencer's Zod Wallop recommended to me recently.

The only X author that comes to mind who hasn't been mentioned yet is Zhang Xiguo, author of The City Trilogy Modern Chinese Literature from Taiwan (though his name is usually written as Chang Hsi-kuo).

I'm going to read 'The World of Mestre Tamoda' by Uanhenga Xitu.

Xenocide by Orson Scott Card was my X title. FYI it's the third book in a series.

For X I read Xinran's Sky Burial and loved it. Would like to read more of her for this year's challenge but my library doesn't carry them.

There are also a good number of X-Files books out there.

Would that not count as T as the first letter of the title is T?

"The", "A", and "An" are ignored at the beginning of a title.

For my X title, I'm going to read The Xibalba Murders: An Archeological Mystery by Lyn Hamilton. I also looked at The Xenocide Mission by Ben Jeapes, and will probably read that for X if I ever do this challenge again.

I've already read Orson Scott Card's Xenocide, but I do highly recommend it for those who haven't and like science fiction. Although you would want to read Ender's Game and Speaker for the Dead first. Maybe work them in as your E and S titles.
