Kevin Shamel (kevin_shamel) | 9 comments I'm in the middle of an all-bizarro year. I've read about 25 bizarro books since June of 2009. That's not a lot of reading, I know. But I keep busy with a lot of other things to DO with reading.

So I plan on finishing out this year of only reading bizarro books. These are the ones I KNOW I want to read:

Warrior Wolf Women of the Wasteland
Ass Goblins of Auschwitz
You Morbid Westphal
Foop!
Lemur
Rampaging Fuckers of Everything on the Crazy Shitting Planet of the Vomit Atmosphere
The Haunted Vagina
Chemical Gardens
Satan Burger
A Million Versions of Right

Between those and what I'm reading now I should be good on bizarro books for the remaining four months of my solid year of the genre. That's not to say that there aren't more to list. As more come out (before the end of the world on December 21st, 2012) I'll want to add them. And so I will.

Before the End of the World, I also want to read:

The Emerald Burrito of Oz
Animals
Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars
Radiant Dawn
Satan Is The New Cupid
Familiar Scars
World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War
The Scourge of God
The Sword of the Lady: A Novel of the Change
Killing With The Edge Of The Moon
Micromegas
Zadig
Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates
B Is for Beer
Bite Me: A Love Story
Island of the Sequined Love Nun
Practical Demonkeeping
Terminal
Castaways
Zombies: Encounters with the Hungry Dead

I'll start with that. Because that's taken a while to compile and I need a break.

I have to add my own AWWW <3 as well

I tried to read Bite Me: A Love Story but couldn't finish it. Bits of it were funny, but mostly it felt like reading an author attempting to be funny X_x Maybe you'll like it though, most of it seemed to be guy targeted humor.

Kevin Shamel (kevin_shamel) | 9 comments :) Writing and art that I truly love? Sold. You two are great.

I'm a Moore fan. I'm sure I'll love it, being a guy and all. But attempting to be funny? Ouch.

You're reading my book soon, right? I hope I'm really funny....

hahaha! (I am.)

:)

Megan Hansen (meganhansen) Yes ~ I'm going to read your book! When I have something to pay for it with I'll buy it lol

(You are.)

Kevin Shamel (kevin_shamel) | 9 comments Silly money...

I'm just all nervous now if you think Chris Moore is TRYING to be funny. Have you read his other stuff? Like Fluke, or The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove? I mean, is it just Bite Me?

Megan Hansen (meganhansen) I read Practical Demonkeeping, and liked it. Don't be nervous, the vampire thing is just wearing thin with me, so the whole concept didn't sit well with me... do you have vampires in Rotten Little Animals?

message 9: by Kevin (new)

Kevin Shamel (kevin_shamel) | 9 comments Crap. Yes. My book is about this girl who discovers that this dude she thinks is hot is a vampire. He likes her, and tells her that he is, and then he even braves SPARKLING IN THE SUNLIGHT to hook up with her one day after school.

(I've never really even read the back cover of any Twilight thingie, how did I do?)

Christy Stewart (christyleighstewart) Oh, you SO saw the movies.

Megan wrote: "I read Practical Demonkeeping"

I didn't like that one.

Suspiciously well...

Kevin Shamel (kevin_shamel) | 9 comments It's because that stupid Twilight crap ruined a local beach. I was going to sneak away one week, and what used to be just a few cabins owned by a local Tribe is now a huge hotel with Twilight tours. Every cabin was booked for a year. It wasn't really even filmed there. I know that it's dumb and I hate it and vampires sparkle and old women or tween girls like it.

:)

I pretty much like them all. I'm a sucker for funny, dumb, smart, and funny.
