Challenge: 50 Books discussion

In January I set out to read 25 books this year. I started out relatively well for me seen as I do not read as much as I would like to...I am getting better w/ that though. I have decided to up it to 50 books and do this challenge...we shall see.

I did not enjoy this book...it was a complete waste of time...do not even bother w/ it...

There were some parts that bothered me but all-in-all...I liked it...

Almost as good as the first...

Really enjoyed this one...

Half-way there...yay...little behind though so here's hoping that I can catch up...

Very funny...a must read if you enjoy her kind of humor.

28)The Cider House Rules-John Irving

Took me quite a bit longer to read than I would have liked...but all-in-all I thought it was good.

29)Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist-Rachel Cohn & David Levithan

This was a really good, funny, quick read. I really enjoyed it.

30)The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao-Junot Diaz

I liked this one...specially all the dorky references...

31)House of Leaves-Mark Z. Danielewski

I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend.

32)Dracula-Bram Stoker

Have wanted to read this for a while and am glad that I got around to it this year.

33)Dead Until Dark-Charlaine Harris

Started watching that True Blood show but stopped after two episodes when I realized it was based on these books...I liked this book and now shall see how the show is compared to this book.

34)Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close-Jonathan Safran Foer

I really liked this book...and Oskar is so stinkin' cute...definitely recommend this.

35)The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde-Robert Louis Stevenson

It was alright...gave it 3 stars

I read this back in May and wasn't sure if I was going to count it because it was a graphic novel but I have decided that I am going to.

37)Dr. Faustus-Christopher Marlowe

Bought this back in high school and never read it until now. Even though the language took a little to get into, I did enjoy it.

38)A Modest Proposal-Johnathan Swift

I did read this back in high school and I really liked it so it was a re-read.

39)East of Eden-John Steinbeck

This is the first Steinbeck that I have read. I did like it and probably will pick up The Pearl and Of Mice and Men @ some point.

40)A Christmas Carol-Charles Dickens

I am glad that I finally got around to reading this this year.

41)Breathe:A Novel-Anne-Sophie Brasme

It was ok...did not really care for the ending though.

42)Holidays on Ice-David Sedaris

Not as funny as I had expected it to be...that was a lil disappointing...

43)The Stupidest Angel-Christopher Moore

Loved this book...wicked funny and will probably read it again next Christmas...

So we are getting close to the end of the year...I think I may get to 45...will aim for 50 again next year...

So didnt quite make 50...maybe next year...
