What are some of your favorite scenes from the different books?

If it's from Pleasure of a Dark Prince, please use a spoiler space.

I hate to be a perv, but I have to say that are lot of my favorite scenes are the naughty ones. I think KC writes great love scenes, although I have to admit that No Rest for the Wicked had scenes that made me think of a porno movie, if you know what I mean.

Alot of my favorite scenes are also sexier scenes....lol I love the sexual tension in Cadeon's book.

I like Nix's wisecracks a lot. Especially regarding Holly's pregnancy by
Cadeon. :)

I love the ones when Nix talks about her "affair" with Mike Rowe. Especially the one about the peace bond.

I always have fun when Nix is around, especially when she teases the demons to give them hornjobs.

The scenes I love are mostly the hilarious ones like when Mariketa flashed her boobs for Bowen when they were walking in the forest/jungle.

It's OK, I think the mild bondage gives off the porn effect, some of her scenes were quite kinky but still erotic. I love the way she wrote those scenes because they weren't trashy and they really engaged the readers with just the right amount of sex, not too much, but just enough to captivate.

I agree, Joy. I hadn't read sex scenes that detailed, at that point, but they are tasteful. I really like the way she writes her loves scenes. :)

Favorite Scenes from the IAD books…well here’s just a few

- Bowen and Mariketa's bikini scene- When Bowen goes off on a jealous rampage after seeing Mariketa talking to the sexy Cadeon in her tiny swimwear.

- Cadeon and Holly’s change room scene- Cade’s reaction to the way Holly’s ass looked in jeans that were both too big and too small for her.

- Any scene that Nix says and does anything in–Especially when Cade and Roc were in the bushes outside the Valkyrie mansion spying for Holly when Nix sneaks up on them whispering “who are we spying on?” That just killed me.

Oh and all the sex scenes, funny scenes, fighting scenes…yeah pretty much the entire series.

I have so many but the one that makes me giggle is in "Dark Desires after Dusk" when Cadeon and Holly are in the Lore bar and Holly gets drunk and begins flirting with Desh (a smoke demon). Cadeon comes out of the back room to Holly sitting on Desh's lap singing. When Cadeon demands that they leave, Holly rubs Desh's horn and all the demons in the bar groan. Holly has no idea she just gave Desh a horn job. So funny!

Let's see...fave scenes...

-I pretty much love all of Bowen and Mariketa's scenes in Wicked Deeds, especially all the flirting they did as they hiked through the jungle, and when Bowen goes into a jealous rage and gets into a fight with Cade.
-I also love the bar scene with Holly and Desh.
-Nearly all the sex scenes, but I have a special fondness for the icicle scene from "Untouchable."
-All of the Conrad/Neomi scenes.
-Any scene with Nix because she really cracks me up.
-All the little glimpses of Lothaire. I know he's bad and evil and all, but, to borrow from Mariketa, he really melts my butter. ;)

Awesome scenes, lady. KC is such a good writer. When I read her books, I am sucked in, and the world just goes by me. I don't want to put them down. I need to read Untouchable. Hmm! Like you have said, she's great at writing funny scenes, sex scenes, action scenes, and the books are very romantic, IMHO. I love her heroes. Refuse to pick a favorite, darn it.

Nix is hilarious. I like Lothaire too.

You really should read "Untouchable" soon! I liked it a lot, and I've re-read it a few times. I really do get sucked into the world she's created in these. And she has me wanting to take a trip to New Orleans just to check it out.

I will. I feel like I need to hang onto KC and Ward and some others, so I'll have guaranteed good reads. I'm sick, I know.

Hey guys... how about the scene when Cade and Holly take Rydstrom's car and Cade let's Holly drives and she starts getting turned on from the speed and Cade notices and gets all worked up and pulls the car over with the comment "bugger this" Yea HOT!!

That was a cool scene, Cher. I like how they agreed to stop every 420 miles. LOL.

I actually went home and re-read that scene, it is uber hawt Cher.... I really like the 2 of them as a couple. Strange how Cade ended up having the most control out of the 2 demons, more than King Rydstrom... Rydstrom couldnt control himself for a minute with Sabine in tow....but Cade actually made it halfway through the trip to Groot, without giving in.

Ohhh Cadeon and those 420 miles! WOW! How he put her on the hood of the car. WOW! Definitely one of my fav scenes. The claimed of Lucia with Garreth, was another.

Of course my newest love is Malkolm, so their first bathing scene in the mine was great. I loved how she washed him, shaved him, and cut his hair. awww! He was being so strong for her, just to please her. :)

I live here in New Orleans and do regularly go in search of locations mentioned in the books I've read...lol

On another discussion forum that I'm a member of here on goodreads, there's a group of ladies coming down to see and experience New Orleans. I will be showing them around and reminiscing all of the books we've discussed that have taken place here. Locations and landmarks from IAD and Dark Hunter will be visited and discussed while scarfing down gumbo, red beans and rice, jambalaya and watering down with drinks like the "hurricane and "grenades"...lol Fun times ahead! Can't wait!

Now for a favorite scene... I like the scene when Rydstrom and Sabine arrive back to his home while Nix, other valkaries and the witches are partying in Rystrom's pool...lol That was too funny when Nix relayed to everyone as to who Sabine was, and they all left so quickly...lol Talk about clearing a room.

The bar scene when Regine called Sabine a tart. Everyone cleared out because of Sabine again...lol

Also, the "cat fight" scene between Carrow and Sabine in Demon's from the Dark.

that is a pretty funny scene Nette. Was washing dishes the other day, when that scene suddenly flashed through my mind... I sniggered for a good couple of minutes

This might be off topic, but did you guys do a re-read yet on the series? There was talk of something like that last year... I was M.I.A for a bit, and just wondered whether it started already... or perhaps finished

Demon from the Dark, when Carrow bathes Malkom in that underground cave and he's got his hands up agains the wall. Yum, yum!

This series is finally coming to audiobooks. I think I do a listen instead of a re-read! (Though I have re-read about 1/2 of these books!)

I'm with Faithmarie. Too many great scenes...I need a pad of paper at my bedside. OMG, I hope someone won't think they are my dreams. LOL!

I have WAYYY to many scenes!! But! I guess I'll share some of it anyway because I can't ever pass the opportunity to talk about the IAD series.

Bowen and Mariketa:
-When they encounter each other and crawl into that tunnel.
-When he calls her Mariah, and she leaves him a "lovely" note.
-When he bargains with the other immortals with food to have a few moments with Mariketa.

Murdoch and Daniela:
-Murdoch and Daniela are at Murdoch's place, and they were burning to touch each other, yet there's no way to do that without hurting each other.

Lucia and Garreth:
-Garreth's first chasing scene with Lucia.
-Their trip on the boat.
-Their love scene in the jungle
-Lucia trying to reach Garreth who was taken over by his beast.

There are so many great scenes but anything with Nix or Lothaire pretty much steals the show. Fave quotes are:

And speaking of females, if I call you by one's name while my fangs are plunged deep in your neck, just run with it.

I like the sexy ones too. And the funny ones. And the sweet ones. And the fighting ones. *sigh* I have many favorites, including most mentioned on this list! lol. Here's one I haven't seen in the list so far.

When Mariketa is being chased through the woods by Bowen in his beast form. She fastens him up against a tree and has her naughty way with him. Ahhh....

it's wayyy to many good scenes to choose just one but I will say just about all my favorite scenes has a MacRieve in it *swoooooonnnnssss* don't get me wrong I love the Wroth brothers and the Woede but ain't NOTHING like a MacRieve I Love the Lykae Clan!

I love Malkom, Cade and Lachlain!!!!!!!

Demon from the Dark was full of great scenes. I liked seeing their communication efforts despite not speaking the same language at all.

I definitely agree with you there...At first when I was reading Regin's book, I kept thinking -How in hell is Regin going to fall for this A-HOLE? But I have to admit that I really loved him in this book... maybe is the scars...I don't know!!!!!

I totally agree. It felt so elemental and pure.

It's so hard to pick a favorite scene (or even a few), but some that come to mind are:

- anything with Nix, who is just hilarious
- "gonna teach you something new" from Cade when he puts Holly on top of the car in "Dark Desires After Dusk"
- in "Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night," when the plane goes down with Bowen wrapped around Mariketa, then he feels her leg, brings her back to N.O., then, after a long spell of ineffectual magic back in N.O., he races out to the backyard with her and frantically arranges the plants around her to try to heal her.
- +1 for the scenes in "Demon from the Dark" where he burns his hand and she bathes him for the first time.
- Also from "Demon from the Dark," when Malkom realizes Ruby is Carrow's daughter and he thinks "'tis not over."
- +1 for the scene in "Pleasures of a Dark Prince" wherein Lucia brings Garreth back from the crazies at the end of the book.

How can I forget about nucking futs nix I LOL every time I read one of her parts. Demon from the dark is hands down one of my very very favorite books from the series, Malkom is such a gentle beast I think I got a headache from all the swooning I kept doing while reading.

Several people have mentioned one of their favorite scenes as being the one where Cade puts Holly on the hood of the car as they're traveling. There was one of those kooky stories going around the news recently about a state trooper who put a pull-over woman on the hood of her car and did the dirty. There was even video from his car camera!

Don't tell me I'm the only one who immediately pictured Cade? I had to laugh although I got some pretty funny looks from other people!
