I guess I should introduce myself, altho I already know quite a few of you so I feel right at home. I'm an artist and poet. Been a near-sighted booknerd all my life. Liberal in politics. Talk too much, eat too much. Spend too much time on the computer.

Ruth, you weren't kidding when you said you were an artist - you're a professional! Beautiful stuff that deeply speaks to me. I wrote more at the end of that thread.

Actually, Lori I am a professional artist with lots of training, though not as active as I used to be. I have an MFA, used to show with a gallery in LA, taught art at the college level.

Poetry I came to late. Only started writing seriously about 10 years ago. If I were younger I'd go back to school again, but that ain't going to happen, either the school or the younger.

Nah Sarah, Not Bill and Nick are your faithful compatriots in conservatism. And if you ask a liberal they will tell you I am a conservative... ask a conservative they will tell you I'm a liberal. I defy definition. : )
