I'm on the fence about it. It was really hard to read some of the things she went through, I was relieved at the end she turned out ok. I think I need to read it again knowing everything turned out all right. I think I get too invested in the lives of the people I read about, lol.

I think I need to get some of the books I am currently reading (6) completed if I stand a chance of meeting this challenge :)
Lynn, I know what you mean about getting too invested in the people in the book. I sometimes feel like that and it taked me a long time to forget about them. I think it makes books better for me though because they become more true if you feel this way.

Really enjoyed this one! It is definately one I would read again. I loved the story progressed and became more and more intricate the more I read.

Same here! Our book club just finished The Angel's Game, a prequel, although it stands alone too. All but one loved it as well but there were mixed opinions on which book was the favorite.

3. She's Come Undone"
I read She's come undone a few years ago, as I recall, it was a great read, but the topics in it left me feeling empty and depressed when I turned the last page...

I liked this book. I'm not totally sure why but I did. I don't know if we were meant to feel sorry for Savannah, but I didn't...I don't think she deserved him. If she felt their love was that strong she never would have given up, regardless of the distance. I couldn't help thinking how selfish she was. Her only redeeming quality was that she brought John closer together with his father.
Lynn, I really liked the Red Tent as well. I didn't think I was going to like it so it was a nice surprise!

I LOVED "Dear John". And truly, I don't know if I can put into words why. There was something about that book that really touched me. Much more than ANY of his other ones (with the exception of The Notebook, which I STILL get teary-eyed about and I read it first 13 years ago)have ever done. And I feel the same way about Savannah that you do. Interesting huh?

I just bought "The Last Song" today, I have only read the prologue and I am hooked...hope the rest of the book doesn't disappoint.

I forgot to add this one and I don't know why. I really liked this book. I am not sure what I liked so much. I think it might have been the strong family loyalty. I finished the book through my tears. The first book that has ever done that to me...but it appears it is not the last.

I can't put into words why I loved this book. It is one that I will read over and over again.
I am looking at everyone else's posts, seeing that people are on their 64th book and I am only at nine. I don't think I will even get close to 75, but I'm gonna keep trying, lol.
Lynn, just have fun trying and don't worry about the numbers, I haven't made it to 75 yet but I'm gonna' keep on trying!,...lol

11. Breaking Dawn
12. The Lace Reader
I have been reading, or starting, too many books that depressed me, so I needed a good dose of feel good books, thus Twenties Girl and Breaking Dawn.
My girlfriend reccommended The Lace Reader, and I think it is going to go on my list of all time favorites. Wow, what an unexpected twist. I had to call my friend right away to discuss the book, I had to make sure I had read it right :)

I hope you like it as much as I did!

It took me a little while before I got into this one, but once I did I really enjoyed it. I didn't think so when I started it, but now I am definately going to read the other two.

Yes :) I decided I better read it before I see the movie...and I will see the movie...Robert Pattison and Reece Witherspoon...wouldn't miss it for the world :)

I enjoyed the book, but the movie is my favorite. The Jane Austen Book club is one of my all time favorite movies, I didn't even realize it was a book, silly me. I liked the book, but I think I am so attached to how the characters are in the movie I didn't enjoy it as much as I might have had I read the book first. Phew....that was long winded...hope it makes sense.
Lynn, I can't wait to see the movie! After seeing Eclipse, this weekend, I think that Pattison's acting skills are getting much better. It will be interesting to see how the movie is done in relation to the book and how is acting differs from Twilight.
I'll also have to check out The Jane Austen Book Club!

I liked this one! I listened to it in audio, and really enjoyed it.

Was really really enjoying this book...and then the end. I was a little, forgive my language, pissed...but then I found out it is a trilogy and now I am back in love with it again. I just couldn't get over why the book was left to end that way, knowing that it is not finished is a total relief!

I really really liked this book. When I was getting to the end I began dreading the lack of pages left...I wanted it to keep going...to see how her life plays out. I wish there were monthly updates, lol. I wasn't disappointed in the lack of resolution, I kind of think any kind of ending or epilogue would have ruined it.
