I'm currently reading The Kiss by Sophia Nash. I love the first book in this series, A Dangerous Beauty, even if there were some points I found fault with. Here's my review.

Now I'm reading Below the Belt by Sarah Mayberry.

I'm currently reading Slightly Scandalous by Mary Balogh and really enjoying it.

I just finished Lora Leigh's Styx's Storm, and Lillian Grant's Happy Birthday, Nancy Tobin.

Now, I'm reading Adrianna Dane's Public Lives, Private Pleasures, which I can't seem to put down.

Right now, I'm reading by Lee Benoit. And I'm listening to a Harlequin Audiobook.

I've fallen in love with Audiobooks, Paige. I listen in the car and at work and while working out. That's definitely my new thing this year. I got an audible subscription and I am lovin' it.

I have to agree about Audiobooks. I have never listened to them either until this summer. I like to listen to them when I'm in the van or out working in the yard. I've even listened when I'm lying in bed at night and having a hard time falling asleep. I get my books from our library. You do it all online and it's great. Plus it's free. They may not have everything you want but there are more than enough to keep you listening happily.

Currently reading - very different hero to the norm. The title gives a clue.

This one took me a bit to get into. It's book 2 and I did not read book 1. I am about half way through and last night the book had me in tears. It's very different from anything I have ever read. The language is strange and I've had to look at the Glossary more than a few times to figure out what they were talking about. But once you get used to the strange wording it is actually a pretty good book

I've just started - intrigued by the Krakow setting - very unusual.

I tried audiobook once. Not my thing. The one I tried has one guy do all the narration and dialogue. I find it very funny when he did the dialogue of the girls. Is that how it is for all audio books?

I haven't listened to a lot of audio, but those I have listened to there is only one narrator for all voices. The only ones I've found with 2 narrators was the Terry Brooks Kingdom of Landover series. But they are both male narrators and there is one female in the story. They are still good though.

Carole, most audio has one narrator. But a good one has excellent range and can be convincing with all the voices. I got hooked with the Stephanie Plum series when CJ Critt doing narration. She was awesome!

Donna, I haven't read the immortal series. Is it good?

The first 5 was really good 6 and 7 wasn't bad but not as good as the others I'm on the last so we will see

I am reading Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series, I am up to book 3. Not strictly romance but it is so damn funny..the gandmother is killing me.

OMG, Lillian! I LOVE that series. I listened to the whole series on audio and the narrator, C.J. Critt in the beginning is AWESOME, she does Grandma Mazaar and Stephanie so well, even Lula.

Oooh, Ranger and Morelli. I'd love to be the meat in that Man sandwhich! LOL

I'm reading 'Dreaming of you' by Lisa Kleypas. The hero Derek Craven is darkly dangerous, the complete opposite to the straightforward book writing Sara. I cant imagine how the two of them are going to get together...but cant wait to carry on reading and find out.

Now I'm reading 'Devil's Desire' by Laurie McBain.
I've never read this author before and DD was written in 1975, her debut novel and the first couple of chapters are a little old fashioned in style, but now they're out of the way its really getting good.

I'm reading ! Finally! After reading when it came out in July and blogging about it, lots of people have been telling me to start from the first book so I'd get an idea of the overall story arc!

Carole, I'm listening to the Highlander series. Phil Gigante is the narrator. He has a great range in his voice and can change it for every character. For women voices his range goes higher. But I have absolutely no problem listening to him. I wish all could do as good a job as he does.

I am up to Book 6 in the Stephanie Plum series, forget Ranger and Morelli, I love Grandma Mazur :)

Stephanie Plum was great. I listened to the whole thing on audio. CJ Critt was my favorite. Didn't like the narrator that they switched to at the end as much though.


Right now, I'm just finishing Shadowfever, and now going back to smut since I was reading urban fantasy. LOL

I finished Shadowfever. I'm getting ready to read Lovely Wicked. I am told it's a great book. I've been tied up in Highlanders and Fever for a long time. I'm ready for some "heat".

I am currently reading The Laird Who Loved Me by Karen Hawkins and The Clayborne Brides: One Pink Rose, One White Rose, One Red Rose by Julie Garwood and I am listening to Charm City by Laura Lippman (non-romance) and Love Me Forever byJohanna Lindsey

For some bizarre reason I downloaded 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' onto my Kindle and I am quite enjoying it. I had a paperback copy several years ago when it first came out and couldnt get into it at all. That said, I'm still looking forward to returning to my spiritual home - the Regency.

Finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and just stared 'Cross Stitch' by Diana Gabaldon (I think it goes by the name Outland in the US) Was looking for a book with a strong alpha male lead and someone recommended it...will let you know how it goes.

Lisa Kleypas is a great author, I am trying to read all of her books.

That's on my list to read, I hope you enjoy it. I'd be interested to see how long it takes you to read it too, what has always stopped me reading it (silly I know) is that when I saw the book was about 700 odd pages and the book looked so thick - I thought it would just take too long but I love the storyline.

I have just started teading Heat Seeker by Lora Leigh and so far it's pretty good. I am listening to and - I am finding I do not really like to 2 main character's in this book - Theo because she is so rude and LouLou becasue??

Bronwyn, Lisa Kleypas is my favourite author. I absolutely adore her books. She has the ability to draw me into her stories from the first page and she has some of my all time favourite heroes and heroines. I can really recommend her Wallflower and Hathaway series.

My favourite Kleypas book must be 'Again the Magic' which is a sort of prequel to the Wallflower series. I don't think you can read this book without getting through at least one box of Kleenex!

Her contemporary 'Travis' family series is also excellent. I have reviewed 'Blue Eyed Devil' and 'Smooth Talking Stranger' from this series.

I loved the Travis Family Series, Carol! I'm hoping she does Joe's book as well.

I hope so too but I think we may have to wait some time. She is not releasing any new books in 2011 and those released in 2012 will be in her "Friday Harbour" contemporary series. After that, I believe there will be further historical novels.

I'm half way through Cross Stitch and can honestly say I'm surprised because I dont seem to have been reading it for 5 minutes. The start is a little 'stodgy' but now I'm really into it. I'm very impressed with Ms Gabaldon's skill as a writer. There is a scene where Jamie beats his wife/ our heroine and the back story and his motivation was so beautifully (? right word?) written that I understood why he had done it and felt sorry for him!!! It's certainly shaping up to be one of those books that I'm glad is long because I'm going to feel bereft when it finishes.
My advice would be to give it a whirl...especially if you like losing yourself in a good read ( I have stayed up too late several nights this week cos I couldnt put it down.)

The book I was discussing here was Cross Stitch / Outlander and not the Lisa Kleypas as it might appear.

Bridget- if you are enjoying In Bed With the Devil, you will enjoy the other three books in this series , The Scoundrels of St James. My favourite book in the series is the second one, Between the Devil and Desire.

Just started - a comfort read, Lisa Kleypas. Cant wait to get started although suspect I'm reading the Wallflower books hopelessly out of order.

Just joined the group today. My favorite author is Judith McNaught and also have a fondness for Linda Howard, Susan Elizabeth Philips and Nora Roberts. Right now I'm reading a Julie Garwood historical The Secret. That is for another Group Read and I'm hoping to finally find a book by Garwood that I'll finally like. She is so well loved by so many fans & I'm not 1 of the multitude. Lately I've been reading some authors that are totally new to me. I recently read Lisa Kleypas for the 1st time, It Happened One Autumn and really liked it. I have some books on the shelf that are going to be read soon by Liz Carlyle & Celeste Bradley. I read a new author recommended to me named Joan Smith. Her work is in the Regency category and was very good. So I'm having fun with new authors but I'm very careful to read only highly recommended people. I got skunked reading a stinker by Julia London. I also didn't get through a book by Deanna Raybourn who was at the top of a friend's list. You never know!
