Read After Your Bedtime Books discussion

Here is where everyone can discuss the books they're reading.

I guess I'll start the discussion and hopefully get the ball rolling. Right now I'm reading about fifteen books of which about 12 I've put aside for a while. So I guess I'm reading 3 books. They're Prom Nights from Hell, Hearts at Stake, and Wicked Lovely. So far Wicked lovely and Hearts at Stake are really good! Prom Nights from Hell is good but not as good as the other 2. Hopefully I'll have some reviews of them up soon! Happy Reading!

We will have to talk about Wicked Lovely, I was a bit put off by the book.

I'm reading The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks. I know it is an adult but it is for my other group (For the Love of Reading).

But... I just finished and loved Wake and Fade by Lisa McMann. I loved them both! I'm on the wait list at the library for Gone.

I'm currently reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire; even though I tell people that I've read the entire series before, I had only read 5-7 before. I read Sorcerer's Stone last Dec, and finished Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban earlier this year. Reading GoF for the first time; then I will read Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince, and Deathly Hallows again this year hopefully. :) *waves "sweat" from forehead*

I'm reading the Obernewtyn Chronicles by Isabella Carmody. Love it!

I am reading Fallen and The Bourne Identity.

I am also reading the 1st Harry Potter to my boys.

One of my teachers used to read the whole Harry Potter series to us in Elementary school. It was so cool! We would go get our lunches and go up to her room and stay through resces. How are your boys enjoying it so far?

Still reading HP/GoF, but have started:

~The Dark Elf Trilogy,
~Deception Point, and
~The Princess Diaries. :)

The boys like Harry Potter. But we have been doing so much lately and they fall asleep after about 8 pages. I love it!

I finished Fallen and I don't recommend it. The first 182 pages were boring. That is half the book. The ending was a bit better.

I am now working on The Host and I am loving it.

I am reading "Flyte" by Angie Sage. It is the second installment of the Septimus Heap series. I am also reading "Spirit Bound" by Richelle Mead.

Do you like the Vampire Academy series? I have SB but haven't started reading it yet.

I love it. It's my favorite vampire series.

It's my new favorite series too, even though I've only read the first one! I'll have to put up a discussion on them.

The Host is pretty good so far. Its supposed to be Adult, but so far it seems more of YA. I need to read THG as well. :)

i guess i'll wait till a more 'economic' edition comes out here xD

i love The Prisioner of Azkaban, it's my favorite in the series :P

Not my favorite, but a great part of the book! Love that Sirius comes in the lucky charm (3 = lucky charm, so third book... oh never mind)

Mallory: Want to read TLS so bad. HAven't gotten around to it yet though... Hope you enjoy it :)

Yeah I think Prisoner was the highlight of the series:)

I am starting two books today and

Right now I'm stuck with a couple of books I checked out from the library and a bunch of summer assignments for school. So, I'm actually reading The Hobbit, the prequel to the Lord of the Rings, by J. R. R. Tolkien. I'm also reading a fantastic book called Opening Skinner's Box: Great Psychological Experiments of the 20th century. It's actually for and advanced psychology class I'm taking (for high school) but I was pleasantly surprised when I started reading this and I can't put it down.

I am almost done with Gore Vidal's book "Snapshots in History's Glare". What a amazing assortment of personalities and stories! I highly recommend reading it!

That's good; I'm glad you enjoyed the GD trilogy. Why are you staying away from SM? Don't like her work, or too much Twilight....?

i finished fallen, enna burning, river secrets,and incarceron .... im almost done with secret society and am half way done with the princess and the hound im running out of books!!! i think i might read fallen again though :)

I used to like Twilight but then I realized that (in my opinion) Stephenie Meyer couldn't write a decent piece of literature if her life depended on it, based on the Twilight series that is. I haven't read the Host and I'm not planning on doing so. I noticed that you're picture is Alice Cullen so sorry if that's offensive. If it makes it better I actually do like Alice. I just have issues with Edward and Bella and some of the supporting characters, and the writing of course.

i agree with you Vivi, i don't think twilight is a good book at all, but it's still something to read just for fun :P (haven't read the host either)

That's not offensive to me at all Vivi. It's your opinion, and that's something that I can't make you change. Some issues you have with Edward and Bella I might even agree with. And you not reading the Host is, in my opinion, just your loss. *N/o (no offense) intended*

i'll read the host when it's cheaper here x(

Good! thanks, btw. it just annoys me when i tell people something that i dont like and they freak out bc its not the same as their opinion. i just like taking precautions...:D

help me people i cant decide what to buy ive narrowed my choices to the dark divine,beautiful creatures, or hush hush :-S cant decide HELP :0

Vivi: Well you don't have to take precautions around me. I might be a little surprised from your opinion, but it won't make me freak out or anything. Lol :)

Well, I still have to read Dark Divine and Beautiful Creatures but I have read Hush Hush and loved it! So I would recomend Hush Hush! Hope that helps a little.
