I've read this book quite some time ago so I'm reviewing by memory. I have a few other books that I need to review but I need to reread them, they seemed a little confusing the first time around. Either that or I've read them a long time ago or read half way through them and then started to read them again months later. This one I'm pretty sure I have down.

Summery: Ever Bloom is in a terrible accident that takes her whole family from her. So she moves to California with her Aunt and starts over at a new school. She however falls into a deep depression and isn't living the life she had in the past. Along with all the new things that overtake her she starts to see auras which basically are colors surrounding people that show their mood, as well as hearing peoples thoughts, and seeing someone’s past by touching them. All these things haunt Ever. Then she meets Damen Auguste. He's a mysterious handsome guy and on top of that he can prevent Ever from hearing and seeing things about people. This book follows Ever trying to find out more about this particular stranger who seems to make everything seem better in her life.

Alright, first I want ot address the rummors that this book is a play off Twilight. I feel that this books only conection to Twilight is that it carries a gloomier feel throughout the book. *A-Not-So-Much-But-Maybe-Still-Spolier* For those who want to know Damen is not a vampire, that's all I'm going to say without giving much away. This book deals with many things. Ever deals with many things. She has to deal with the loss of her family and trying to create a new one with her somewhat absent Aunt. It doesn't help that her dead little sister visits her almost daily. Along with that Ever used to be popular and cared about how she looked, she had friends and a boyfriend but after the accident she is sent into a deep depression. Along with that she's hearing and seeing stuff she knows she shouldn't be. It's all very hard for Ever. Until there's a guy who can make it all go away. Damen didn't remind me of Edward and the same goes for Ever and Bella. Ever is a strong but broken character. Overall I liked the book. It wasn't the best book that I've read but it had some really good stuff in it. This is a hard book to comment on without giving to much away. I can say some stuff about it though. Damen is a good guy. I think he's a guy a lot of girls wish they had. There are so many times I wanted to jump into the book and be with Damen on certain sort-of-dates he takes Ever on. Amoung so many things that I can't say about him I can say that he really helps Ever through her hardships. I read this book in a few days which means that I liked it a lot and could put it down but not for too long. Overall I'd give this book a four out of five stars. I have to put this in here the cover, in my opinion is beautiful. I really liked the cover. This book is the first in a series called the Immortal Series. Is this book worth reading? I would say yes. I enjoyed it but am not racing to get to the second book. Still a good book though.I have the second book but have so many other books that I've started and need to finish. This book gets a four out of five stars!

Amena Khan (amenakhan) | 24 comments Yup this is the book I was talking about...the one that was a lot like Hush Hush.
Don't they seem similar to you?
Or maybe I'm just crazy...but I seriously feel like they were a lot alike!

Really? I didn't really think they were similar. A little bit maybe. This book has been compared a lot to Twilight, as in they are similar. I loved Hush Hush but I just thought this book was in between okay and good, more good, but still not the greatest. Patch and Dameon don't seem like each other, to me at all. Same with Nora and Ever. But that's just me. Maybe it was that they both were paranormal?

Amena Khan (amenakhan) | 24 comments No, I was talking more about the fact that both Ever and Nora only had a women as there care taker, that they both were attracted to the "bad boy" in the story, they were both attacked by an evil lady that liked the guy they were with (I even think the fights both started in the kitchen), plus a family memeber died in each one.
They were not that similar, but they had a few big things in common that made me feel like they were very similar. I liked the characters in Hush, Hush better and fitzgerald had a better writing style, but I still felt like they were similar. And I absolutely loved Patch!!! He's like the picture of a perfect bad boy!!

Yes, I guess all that is true. But I felt like Hush Hush had a lot more to it, you know. there were a lot more twist and turns in the plot, and it really worked. Where as in Evermore I felt the whole book was pretty striaghtforward. But I do see your points. Those are some pretty major similarities that I probably would have seen had I read the books closer together.

I'm just jumping in here. I didn't care for this book much. I found it to be a bit annoying. I don't see the comparison with Twilight or Hush Hush. Actually, a bit insulting to Hush Hush because it was way better.

Amena Khan (amenakhan) | 24 comments Didn't mean to insult any books, just stating my opinion and what I thought when I read the books.
I really liked Hush, Hush though and I will agree that it was better than Evermore by a long shot.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh no, I'm not offended. I was just trying to say that Hush Hush is so much better.

Have you read the rest of the Evermore series? I haven't. I'm not sure if I want to spend the time on continuing. What would you recommend? Do they get worse or better?

message 9: by Amena (new)

Amena Khan (amenakhan) | 24 comments I haven't read the rest, but i think my sister did. She hasn't said anything much about it, so i'm guessing it's not that great. She would have forcedme to read it if she liked it :)
I'm just guessing they stay as blah as the first.

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

That is good to know. I'm going to steer away from the rest of the series.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

I've read this book a few days ago, so it's fresh in my memory. I haven't read Hush, Hush yet, so I can't say anything about that, but I didn't like this book that much. It was okay, sure, but like Elyssa, I found it a bit annoying as well.

Yeah, I wrote this review from memory. I thought it was good not the best but good. I'm going to try to reread it soon to see how I feel about it now.

Oh, I recommend HUSH HUSH.

Oh, Kate... Don't re-read this one!! Stop! *My yell is echoing*

If you do, let us know if it gets worse or worse or worse, or perhaps slightly better :)

Okay okay, I won't at least not for a very long time. I have so much else to read. No worries!:) *yet*

P.Q. Glisson | 10 comments Hey guys! I read Evermore. It was very good, but my favorite character was Rainey, her sister. I just found out that there is a new book coming out called "Radiant" which is about Rainey and her experiences after the car accident. It looks good. I am about to read "Blue Moon" the second in the series. Is it better than the first book?
(BTW, I'm going to feel really stupid if "Rainey" isn't her sister's name) lol

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh well, her sister's name is Riley, but it's close :) Don't feel bad about it, I get the names mixed up as well :D
I, too, liked Riley better than Ever!

message 17: by P.Q. (new)

P.Q. Glisson | 10 comments ARGH! I knew I was wrong. Thanks for making me feel better about my bad memory though. ;)
Have you read "Blue Moon"?
I am reading an ARC right now, "The Summer of Moonlight Secrets" that I won on goodreads. It's really good. If I didn't have so much to do I'd probably read the entire thing in about four hours but moving and setting up housekeeping in a new house is a very daunting task.
I will let you know how I like it. :)
I would suggest my book to you but if you don't like a fair amount of love scenes, you don't want to read it, though the main male character is a half blooded Native American with jet black long silkey hair and electric sky blue eyes and OMG his body! Anyway, if you know someone who does like a story with sizzling hot romance, please tell them about my book, okay?

I will speard the word! Although I may just have to pick it up myself.

message 19: by **Carla** (new)

**Carla** I read Evermore recently and I wrote my own review. I gave the book 3/5 stars. I agree that it was ok but not great. I definately loved Hush Hush far more. However I did pick up the two books that follow Everemore from the library yesterday. So I will soon be reading Bluemoon and Shadowland.

message 20: by **Carla** (new)

**Carla** here is my review of Evermore:
I liked this book, but did not love it. However, it has given me enough interst to read the next book. I did get slightly annoyed with the expression "I pressed my lips together". Alyson Noel used that far too many times in the story.

The story of a 16 year old girl who is the only survivor of her family after a terrible car accident. Since the accident, Ever has now has psyic abilities, which she has handled by outcasting herself at her new school. Then there is a new guy Damen who comes and seems to good to be real and can silence the world around her, but there is still something that isn't quite right. He is 17 years old, gorgeous, emancipated and lives in a huge house with an expensive car.

I gave this book 3/5 stars. I would only recommend this for an easy read. The story line was pretty good, but told a bit slow

Stephanie (stephaniee) I love this book. They get better though(:

message 22: by **Carla** (new)

**Carla** That's good to know I have Bluemoon and Shadowland here to read next fromt he library after I finish my current book.

message 23: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (stephaniee) Well good. Ever is pretty stupid but I still like the books. You might too.

message 24: by **Carla** (new)

**Carla** I finished reading bluemoon and shadowland. I liked them better than evermore. I think this is the only series so far that I have read that the next books seem to get better as you go.

message 25: by Stephanie (new)
