My fave series ever. Rose can have Dimitri and I'll keep Adrian for myself ;)
If you like VA, you'll love Richelle Meade's other series. Thorn Queen is awesome and I love Succubus Blues(warning - the first books are a little slow but by the last 3, I couldn't put it down!)

Vampire Academy is definitely one of my favourite vampire books, I loved Richelle Mead's take on vampires and all her characters are amazing. I agree with Evelyn, Thorn Queen is awesome, I think I might like that series even more than VA! I'm just a bit peeved that I have to wait so long for the 3rd one to come out.
And I liked the Succubus series too, although I've only read the first two, and the 2nd one was a little slow for me. Hopefully it'll get better.

Catherine, you are so right! I hate having to wait for a whole year (or more) in order to read the next book in the Thorn Queen series and I might actually like it better than VA too - they are both so good. Stick with the Succubus series. It is going to get really good! Especially books 4 & 5 - amazing!!

Cristal - They are really good. Start with Thorn Queen. I finished so fast - I couldn't put it down. Succubus Blues starts a little slow, but it sure picks up with the last few books. I'mm glad I stuck with it. Definitly check them out :)

Yup, definitely add the Dark Swan series (aka Thorn Queen!) it's amazing. I love the plot and the characters, it's different to all the vampire books I usually read. And I love the characters too, especially Dorian!

OMG! I LOVE this series!!!! I totally think Dimirti and Rose were meant for each other, but if there's no way to save him from being Stoigi, then i think Rose should move on and be with Adrian. 'cause i believe Adrian is totally serious about having a relationship with Rose. And i'm looking forward to Spirit Bound coming out seen! WOOHOO!!!!

Nooo, there's a cliffhanger??? I've only just started it, and there's no sign of Dimitri so far but hopefully that'll change soon! Maybe I should slow down with my reading so I can savour it! :)

lol thats what i do sometimes, like try to control it, otherwise i go through books way too fast. But i already know what happens in spirit bound, because someone told me!!!

So much for savouring it, I finished it this morning! And I did enjoy the Dimitri parts!

I'm a tiny bit disappointed with Spirit Bound. After Blood Promise, I had much higher standards for the series, and I felt like in Spirit Bound Rose seemed much more selfish and impulsive than I remember her being. (Maybe, or was she always like that, and I'm just now realizing it?) Also a little more immature; seriously she had no self-control whatsoever, just yelled at whoever without thinking of the consequences. Not to mention I thought it was so unlike Rose to string Adrian along like that when she obviously would drop him without a second though for Dimitri.

I completely agree with you. Don't get me wrong, I still loved Spirit Bound but I had higher expectations for it too after reading Blood Promise. And like you said about Rose, I thought she'd grown up so much after she went to Russia, but in this book she just completely went back to being the way she used to be. The way she was with Adrian didn't really match her character in the previous books, I didn't think she was the type of girl who'd try to have two guys at once...so yeah, there's definitely a few points in Spirit Bound that I wasn't happy about. And I still don't like Lissa.

I suppose it's understandable why she would be so emotional, I would be the same if I was in her situation where I'd risked so much for the guy I loved just to have him tell me he didn't feel the same way anymore. I can understand why Dimitri would be that way too, especially knowing the kind of man he was before it must be killing him to know all the awful things he's done, but I still wanted to smack him a couple of times! So I'm glad Rose is trying to move on but I just hate knowing Adrian is going to get hurt because it's obvious Rose will always go back to Dimitri if it was her choice.

there would be no story without dimitri cause he is the best person for rose

I must admit I never really thought about how it would be for him either, I just assumed once he's been changed back he and Rose would be together. I wonder if he would rather Rose have killed him. I wonder if they told Dimitri's family that he's still alive, I would love it if he and Rose went back to visit them or something. Would probably be really emotional.

I suppose you're right, I never really thought about that because I was too busy being annoyed with her. I'm glad that she's finally done something for Rose because one of the main reasons I didn't like her was how Rose was always the one to help her and Lissa was too much of a damsel in distress that needed saving all the time. I guess I was jealous for Rose as well because of how Dimitri was acting with Lissa and I also didn't like how Lissa got all the credit for bringing Dimitri back. No one seemed to realise that Rose was the one that found the solution and everything she'd risked to find out how it worked, but I suppose that's not really Lissa's fault.

Guys, who do you think killed Queen Tatiana? I think it was Ambrose or whoever...!
Firstly because he was the only one who got near Rose that night and he was the only one who could get near the queen. And then again the queen was shocked before she had died. And! Ambrose used to be a guardian so he used the stake!

What did you think about Dimitri? I loved several parts in this book. First the part when he had Rose and another Strigoi attacked and he snarled: "MINE!"
And then when the royal guardians came to take Rose and he started fighting for her!!
But I kind of feel bad for Adrian...

I thought it was Ambrose too, but I'm not sure if it would be that obvious and I can't really think of a motivation either. What I want to know is why Tatiana didn't get herself more protection if she knew someone was gona kill her, because it sounded like she knew in her letter.

I still love Dimitri but his sulking is annoying me. I know he has every right to feel that way and it's understandable but after everything Rose has been through I just want to see them back together. So I was really happy when he fought the guardians for her because it showed he still loved her.
I feel bad for Adrian too but this book has made me see that he and Rose aren't meant to be together, they're just too different. I wish Rose would just let him go because it's just gona hurt him more when she goes back to Dimitri.
