SheLove2Read (sherrih95) Which book of PB's are you reading right now? How many times have you read it?

message 2: by Kristin (new)

Kristin (kristin_palmer) | 2 comments I've read all the Mercy Thompson series (just once)and will hopefully start Cry Wolf soon. I tried reading Cry Wolf first, but never finished it. I think I will like it much more now that I've read the others.

message 3: by SheLove2Read (new)

SheLove2Read (sherrih95) Be sure to read the prequel in the On the Prowl anthology first.

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 574 comments Mod
I'm in b/w PB books. I'll probably read Iron Kissed next. I have some challenges to complete in May and June.

message 5: by SheLove2Read (new)

SheLove2Read (sherrih95) I just finished Silver Borne (Mercedes Thompson, #5) and I'm stunned. It is unbelievably awesome. I'm exhausted just from reading it, but in a good way. And Adam......swoon!!.....Adam is THE MAN.

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 574 comments Mod
Of course he is!

If Mercy Thompson ever become a TV series Jericho Barrons would be a perfect Adam...*sigh* This is how I see him in my head when I read the books!!!!!

message 11: by SheLove2Read (new)

SheLove2Read (sherrih95) I'd have to disagree. Remember Adam is a product of the 60s. He's an older wolf. I see him more like a young, fit & buff military type man.

message 19: by Jalilah (last edited Jan 26, 2012 06:11AM) (new)

Jalilah I am into the 3rd book of the Sunny Baca series by Rudolfo Anaya called Shaman Winter The writing is excellent. The series is more reality based however there are evil "Brujos" (wizards or witches),shamans who can turn into owls and coyotes as well as curanderas(healers or in this series are like white witches).

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 574 comments Mod
Shaman Winter sounds interesting, Jalilah. Thank you for the heads up.

message 24: by Jalilah (new)

Jalilah Lady Danielle "The Book Huntress" wrote: "Shaman Winter sounds interesting, Jalilah. Thank you for the heads up."

Zia Summer and Rio Grande Fall are the first 2. If you have never read Anaya before Bless Me, Ultima is a good place to start.

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 574 comments Mod
Thanks.

SheLove2Read (sherrih95) Just finished Fair Game. Best one yet - I am completely exhausted after reading it!!

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 574 comments Mod
I'm glad that's a good exhaustion, Sherri!

message 28: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 110 comments Sherri I agree. I am holding myself back from buying the audio today and starting on it immediately. I may want a treasure to listen to in a few months during the looong wait for the next Mercy.

I am finishing up the audio of Soulless and then I will go back to listening to A Bad Day for Sorry and I am reading Sacrificial Magic

message 29: by SheLove2Read (new)

SheLove2Read (sherrih95) Is there an audio of the original prequel? I'd love to get that one.

message 37: by Ann aka Iftcan (new)

Ann aka Iftcan (iftcan) | 297 comments Carolyn F--yeah, we were talking about the Kitty Katt books, but the Kitty the Were-wolf books are also really good. And, for humour and were-wolves (in this case BORN were-wolves) with weird names, there is the Tabby the Were-wolf book that's part of the Halle Puma series. Bear Necessities is her book.

message 38: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Almost halfway through Moon Called (Mercedes Thompson, #1) by Patricia Briggs , I already read Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega, #1) by Patricia Briggs . I enjoyed Cry Wolf so decided to go back and read the first book series she wrote.

message 39: by Anna (last edited Apr 30, 2012 02:20PM) (new)

Anna | 53 comments Moon Called #1 is such a good opening book for the MT series.

In contrast Magic Bites #1 was a really bad opening novel (Kate Daniels series) but I'm currently reading Magic Burns #2 which thankfully is much better. Magic Burns (Kate Daniels, #2) by Ilona Andrews

message 40: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. I'm reading And She Was A Novel of Suspense by Alison Gaylin

message 43: by Theresa (new)

Theresa (thesa) | 11 comments I'm reading both the Mercy & A&O series, but I'm behind on the latter. Is there a particular order we should be reading the two series? The timelines parallel don't they?

message 49: by Anna (new)

Anna | 53 comments Just starting The Star of David by PB in the Wolfsbane and Mistletoe anthology. Wolfsbane and Mistletoe by Charlaine Harris
Ooo my cover is complete different!

message 50: by Ann aka Iftcan (new)

Ann aka Iftcan (iftcan) | 297 comments Anna--you will like this story. It gives more background on Adam's old friend David. I always felt he needed more coverage after his brief cameo in the first book.
