Sella Malin Someone requested this folder...so, in this topic, make any suggestions for what book this fan fiction will be based off of!

Oh, and in case anyone doesn't know, here's the definition of fan fiction:

Fan fiction is a story that is based of an already-published book. The person who writes it takes the published author's idea and makes new characters and plot. Of course, they can't ever publish it, but it's fun to write. (For example: if the story was Twilight, the person writing the fan fiction would take the whole story with vampires and werewolves and the Quileute tribe and all that, but make new characters, and a new plot.) Got it?

I've got one: Warriors Series, by Erin Hunter. Anyone read those?

message 2: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (michellerobins) im sorry, but i have to say twilight!!

message 3: by Sella (new)

Sella Malin Okay!! I love Twilight too!! So, what do other people think? Warriors or Twilight??

message 4: by Clare D' Lune (new)

Clare D' Lune | 52 comments Ok, I don't know what we're doing with the story, but I'd say tilight cuz I've never read warriors...

Xerxes Break(Vivian Ephona) (ephona) I've read Warriors...just got Dawn today!

message 6: by Sella (new)

Sella Malin Okay...yeah, since not everybody has read Warriors, maybe we should do Twilight, since the majority have read that. So..if we're doing Twilight, what exactly should the plot be? And should it be w/ Twilight's current characters, or new ones?

message 7: by Clare D' Lune (new)

Clare D' Lune | 52 comments I'll soind dumb, but I must ask, what is this?

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

new ones!

message 9: by Sella (new)

Sella Malin Clare, this is a fan fiction topic, where we write a story that is already based on a published book.

message 10: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (v_a_b) Clare, don't worry about sounding dumb. I actually didn't know what fanfiction was either.

message 11: by Clare D' Lune (new)

Clare D' Lune | 52 comments Ok, thanx!

message 12: by Allie (last edited Jun 06, 2008 08:11PM) (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) I haven't read Twilight.... what about the books by Tamora Pierce?

message 13: by Sella (new)

Sella Malin I haven't read those. *sigh* It's going to be hard to find a good book that everyone has read...

message 14: by Allie (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) ok... wut about um harry potter or chronicles or narnia

message 15: by Sella (new)

Sella Malin We could do HP...but I kinda want to do Twilight...I don't know...well, since most people have read Harry Potter, I guess that's the most logical choice...

message 16: by Allie (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) have u read narnia books?

message 17: by Sella (new)

Sella Malin Yeah

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

Well.... Everyone call out what they think is the most popular book to them. If you have heard one or the others stories then you type a list of the stories you've read. Here goes.

Twilight.

message 19: by Sella (new)

Sella Malin Twilight series, Warriors series, Narnia series, HP series, Septimus Heap series, Artemis Fowl series, Eragon/Eldest, Percy Jackson, Peter and the Starcatchers trilogy, Inkheart/Inkspell...

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

ok I know twilight, warriors, narnia,HP,Artemis Fowl, Eragon, and inkheart.

message 21: by Allie (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) HP, Narnia

message 22: by Sella (new)

Sella Malin So it looks like the most common are HP and Narnia...darn..(no offense; I want to do Twilight.)

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

ok... um.... I don't know what to do from here...

message 24: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (v_a_b) Has anyone heard of the young wizards series? There are 8 books and they are by Diane Duane. They're amazing!

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

young wizards series? Oh wait that gives me an idea! How about one of us each recommend a book or book series that none of the rest of us have never read? then we can vote for which one all of us should read?

message 26: by Allie (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) oo ya good idea

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

I highly recommend a book called Wildwood Dancing! I love that book! :D

message 28: by Allie (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) I love it too! I would recomend, oh, so many. A Great and Terrible Beauty.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

I really want to read that! It looks so cool!

message 30: by Allie (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) It is amazing I love it so much, but just for girls. It's kinda supernatural-ish, just in case u don't like that kind of stuff, and victorian-ish.

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

Now I'm definitely going to have to read it!! :D

message 32: by Allie (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) hee. i also like the warrior books, and the percy jackson series.

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

Have any of u read Evil Genius?
It has a lot of swear words in it, (I even counted. somewhere along the lines of 47 . . .) But it has a great plot. I highly reccomend it.

message 34: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (v_a_b) You want a lot of swearwords? (and a lot of laughing out loud ((if you can't control laughter don't read it in school))) Read Big Trouble. Okay, maybe it is almost plotless, but not completely, and it's really really funny! It's by Dave Barry by the way.

message 35: by Morgan (new)
