Twilightinators! discussion

I was asked to delete the first chapter on here because I could get in trouble for copyright laws...? Anyone know anything about this? Could I actually get in trouble, even though the first chapter is out in stores? If I give credit for Stephenie Meyer at the end, will I still get in trouble?

yeah i think that even if you credit stephenie for it you can still get in trouble and it would like give stephenie like a copyright or plagerisim lawsuit so yeah just in case you should definatley get rid of it.

I think It would actually be ok. I don't think is the best Idea to have it up here though. As long as you had her information and not claiming it in anyway your own it's probably not that bad. Lots of others are going to have this posted on their websites and bogs. Unless a moderator tells you to take it down its probably ok.

I think you did the right thing to take it down. Stephenie Meyer herself doesn't even have permission to post Chapter 1 yet own her site. She probably won't get permission until a couple weeks before August 2nd.

well, actually, the copyright should go to the puublishers, which means that you would have to have their permission, but give the credit of writing it to stephenie meyer. (i think. i could be completely wrong, but im pretty sure thats how it works...)

thats not the full thing! the full chapter has the the very very first chapter (the opposite of an epilouge but i cant remember wat its called) and the first chapter is MUCH longer.
